Have you guys heard about this new novel coming out "RUSSET NOON" it is by a different author, but is suppose to be about what happens after Breaking Dawn and told by Jacob's perspective...I would thing that was against copywrite laws, but apparently no..who knows..you can check out the site at the following link..

Mar 24, 2009 – AV Paranormal Publishing has only recently started promoting Russet Noon, a new tribute novel that picks up where the Twilight Saga left off. Although AV Paranormal has ended the special promotion that allowed twilighters to preorder the novel on eBay, the Russet Noon Official Site has announced that fans will get another chance to resume the bidding wars in August 2009.

That seems illegal but not for me to decide right? I'll just wait on Stephanie and see if she comes out with something instead.

On a related note, I finally saw the movie last night. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. I knew it wouldn't be like the book but I thought it could have been better.

I would think so, but they apparently have a publisher willing to publish it, so I have no clue! I liked the movie OK, I thought it was pretty high on the cheese factor. LOL

Yea, that definitely seems fishy.

I like Stephanie's writing. I'm one of those people who generally doesn't like books written by others in an attempt to recreate the originals work (ie, have read a few where unfinished manuscripts were finished, blegh, no thank you). I sometimes don't even like when my favorite authors CO-author a book.

Pam, I watched the movie yesterday too! Lol! I liked it more than I thought I would. I still HATE the casting for Carlisle, Esme, and Jasper (jasper looks like a circus freak in that movie!! I do NOT recall him looking that strange in the books). I was really unsure of RPatz as Edward. He is NOT what I pictured when I read it, but, he really grew on me. Despite being so much less than what he is in the books. I definitely didn't like a bunch of the adaptations they made for the movie, but such is life I guess.

I'm VERY excited that they got a new director for New Moon. If they pull that one off well, it'll be the 2nd movie in history to ever make me cry (The Notebook being #1).

DH watched it with me, he has never read any of the books, and he was in tears he was laughing so hard at the facial expressions on Jasper's face. LOL I have to admit I had a good chuckle myself.....

Jasper definitely looked like he was in pain.... constipated pain.

Anyhoodiddly... mmyeah, I won't be sitting on ebay 24/7 in August to try to get my mitts on a copy. If I see it at Walmart someday, then I might grab it LOL

Omg, exactly! LOL! His eyes are always wide open and he's super serious and looks in PAIN. WAY over the top.
The one scene that made me laugh out loud, was the first time Bella walked into Biology, and she stood in front of the fan, and Edward looked like he was going to puke from her scent blowing across the room like that. I thought that was a biiiiiiiiiit much, LOL!

OMG, I was ROLLING... dude... yeah...

I finally saw it last night, too, and felt the same. Of course, I was never infatuated with the books...liked them but they weren't super addictive to me. My husband, however, enjoyed the movie (never read the books) and said that he should have waited until all the movies were out 'cause he doesn't want to wait to see what happens next. His threshold for poor quality entertainment is pretty high (he watches Knight Rider).

As far as unofficial sequels go, I did happen upon a version of a follow up to Pride and Prejudice that I liked by Linda Berdoll. I read it when it was called The Bar Sinister, but I think it's been republished under Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife. I just saw that she's written another book since then, so I might have to check it out. While the content sometimes leaned towards a PG-13 rating (scandalous), she used the familiar vernacular and syntax that were found in Austen's books, and the storyline was pretty plausible.
