True Blood Finale, what did you think?

I'm just going to go general, in case someone sees this, I'd hate to ruin it.

I did like the last 5 minutes, all of it was nice.

I did not like the hour leading up to it.

I didn't like this season, in fact, I'm not sure when the last season was I actually couldn't wait to see the next episode.

We watched 2 yesterday, just to get caught up before tonight, I just haven't been that into it.

I try not to compare the show to the books, because, they haven't been anywhere close to the same since around the middle of season 3.

This season and last just seemed all over the place.

!!!SPOILER ALERT DONT READ THIS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT YET!!!!

I was disappointed. I have to say that I am generally disappointed by how HBO ends their shows, like the Sopranos (or just cancels them outright like Carnivale and Deadwood). I thought it could have been so much better. It was kinda boring and I really thought that in the end that Suki's light was going to blast the vampire out of Bill, make him human and give him what he wanted for himself and for Suki. And although Suki is part human, she is also part fairy so her babies are going to be grown up in months. So its not like she was going to have the typical human experience anyway. They could have been together and they could have adopted or had a sperm donor or something. He didn't have to die for her to have a "normal" life. And realistically they kinda just threw that whole "I love Bill now that he is dying" thing in kinda rushed none of it felt authentic.

I thought the thing with Hoyt and Jessica was really rushed too. And to see Eric go on being original Eric and just going back into his previous patterns was weak, although I am glad he is alive. (Team Eric here all the way) I liked the majority of the season, I had no problem with the New Blood story line but pretty much everything else surrounding it felt forced, rushed and didn't really add up. The whole Tara storyline was also annoying. They didn't need to drag that on for so long.

I thought the last 7 minutes were good ... they should have spread that out over the last season, lol.

I agree Sheri! I think it all felt rushed and just like huh? most of the season. I think it would have been really nice to have everyone's endings spread throughout the season and not just the last 5-7 minutes of the finale. And I hated that I didn't get to see Lafayette much in the finale. I love him! Just felt like the actual stories that mattered didn't get much time and instead they filled it with stupid stuff.

I also feel that they dragged out some of the story lines more than they needed with the *cure* and the whole Bill dying thing. I also agree that the Tara thing took up way too much time. To me it felt like I keep waiting for some grand ending all season and then it was like, oh okay. Well, that's done. Mmph

I did crack up and giggle to myself when Eric was just bopping around and dancing with the bodies in the back seat. That was so silly but I couldn't help but to laugh haha.

I didn't get the whole Hoyt and Jessica getting married thing when he pretty much just *met* her (again). Even though they might have been meant to be with each other it was just like oh I am back and I don't even know you anymore but let's get married.

I agree...Lafayette should have had his story finished up at the end, Bill dying was a big dragged out and Jess getting married was sweet but shouldn't have been the focus of the last episode. I'm sad it all ended but also think that this season it started to peter out and had lost it's oomph. I did like the last few minutes.

lol yeah I will give you that, eric in the car was funny. So was the infomercial but in a ridiculous this can't be happening sort of way, not really Eric or Pam's style to do that. I mean you would think that after 1000 years on the planet at some point amassing large sums of money would be boring. He is a vampire he could glamour a fortunate out of people quite easily.

And not for nothing, but Sookie is still fae and vampires will be drawn to her her entire life so for the two vampires in her life (who actually care for her) to just pull out and let her be "normal" that doesn't do much more than leave her unprotected.
