Thanks girls I'm ok tight now, they've given me a Vicodin/Motrin Cocktail that seems to be doing it's job..LOL

OUCH!!! Why didn't they give you something stronger??????

because my insurance doesn't cover anything but a local and I already had to pay $150 out of pocket for a stupid x ray on top of everything else so I didn't want to pay another $350 for a half hour of sedation :thumbdown:

Aren't dental costs ridiculous! Last time, I told them I was bringing my exrays from my normal dentist (went to the oral surgeon for the extractions) and they decided to do two instead of the one that I was scheduled for... and then they charged me DOUBLE what I was quoted. I don't think that's fair because I was already there for the the one... kwim? $400-some dollars later... ugh!

ugh that sucks! I'm pretty sure he pulled my wisdom tooth and asked for the xay just to charge me more.

and wth! why was the xray $150 when all it was was a machine taking pictures of my mouth and transferring it to computer?! There was nothing material about it..sigh

Feel better! I'm glad they gave you some good meds. I suppose they have to pay for the machine and its upkeep, and the time of the staff using it ... but yeah, it sure does add up fast! HUGS!

oh hope you are feeling better soon. I had one done a few years ago that was twisted in my gums and it caused the whole side of my face to swell then bruised really badly
