For those of us who are devoted SYTYCD lovers...

What did you think about the Top 20 line-up?

Did they pick who you love?

Who are your favorites, so far?
 
I love the one with the daughter who applied season 2, I just liked her cause she had a kid..but did she make it?

Nope, she didn't make it. Totally lost the choreography in one of the sessions.

I'm super happy Twitch made it. He was sooooo cloooooose last year I would've been sad if he didn't make it.

I'm WAY surprised the red head with the famous dancer mom didn't make it. I think she was better than some of the ppl that ended up in the top 20.

I just wish they focused more throughout the auditions on ppl they knew were gonna make it through. Cuz most of these ppl didn't get any face time.
 
Agreed, Col...I hate how they do it (even for AI, which Nigel also produces, so not really surprising)...it really sets some of them up to fail the popularity contest. Maybe they don't get face time because the judges/producers think they'll blow people away when they dance? I dunno.

I like the soccer player chick, and the blonde pixie-cut girl who is BFF with her mom. Hmmm...who else? I can't even remember anymore.
 
i like twitch, the uma thurman look alike, the asian looking guy, can't remember the rest . . .
 
ya, there were a few who i was like, who are you. i don't care.

i was really happy for twitch and the blonde pixie cut girl! i heart her.

i do not like that stacy girl who is the high school teacher from orlando...gross.

i cannot think of who else...wow. brain fart.
 
My two favs were the gal whose mom was a choreographer and the black guy who was one of the last two guys (he was cut). So neither of my favs made it in. :unsure:

However I know they show more of those who get cut since they figure we'll be seeing the others all season. Hopefully I'll find a fav among those who made the top 20 that we didn't get to see much. There is a cute little blonde ballroom gal who I think really has something special so I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do in the other genres.
 
I'm really sad because I've missed yet another episode.. I really don't get super psyched up until a bit after the top 20 anyway :D :D I don't want to get too attached to anyone lmao.. but I'm still bumming. Things have just been crazy over here and I keep missing it :( Here's to next week.
 
Lizzy, I don't like her either, though I think it's because she's sooo slutty, and she's supposed to be a HIGH SCHOOL teacher?!? My hubby says "where were teachers like that when *I* was in school?" lmao. For real, she's skanky. Though, I guess...so was Lacey. ;)
 
I LOVED Lacey. Lacey and Lauren were my fav girls last season.

There's a tiny little contemporary black girl with a short bob haircut that I really want to see what she does. She's absolutely stunning (she wore like, a bra and a boy shorts at the end for her solo, lol).

i would agree. . .the high school teacher was not my fave and a few of the others it feels like we don't even know them. what did you think of the Modern guy who walked off the stage during his Mia Michael performance? suicide!

I could not stop laughing. Stupidest move EVER! Same thing with the girl who wouldn't stop talking about her legs and stress.
 
I felt bad for the girl who opened her yap about her legs/stress. I think, that if she had just explained (nicely) what was going on and stopped at about the point where she said "I was upset because I was worried my legs would give out and I'd hurt myself" or something, she'd have been fine...but she kept going ON and ON. I liked her, though...she was a good dancer!
 
Those were two of my faves too Misty. Brandon is the guy's name. I HOPE he comes back next year with a little maturity and will knock their socks off (he's only 18)

Oh yeaaaa, I totally wanted him to get in. But he is super young still, so he's got a great chance in the future.
 
I know - I thought Brandon would totally make it. He was the only audition that I was totally awe struck by. They didn't even show him in Las Vegas so I wonder what happened.
 
I am SOOOO excited Kherington made it she is my fav so far....and the pixie cut girl...as far as the others go...i think some other people should have been in the top twenty....
 
I am totally in love with Twitch. He's so sweet and kinda like the big brother of the whole group. And it was so sweet when he cried because the guy in his group had to dance for his life.
I really like Kherington (love her name, too, but not the spelling) and the hip hop girl, Comfort. I also really love the guy she danced with (with the braces). Can't remember his name for some reason, but he's the guy that did the jumping splits and went SO high in his initial audition.

As for some of the ones that were cut... the guy that quit that was an amazing street dancer... that was stupid. I mean, yeah he probably wouldn't go very far because he's not wellounded but to quit like that. He'll always be the guy that quity, ya know?
And what about the last two girls who were best friends? I'm sorry, but they totally set Katie up with that question. I mean, she was stressed and nervous and under a TON of pressure and they totally burned her at the stake for making one stupid comment in a moment of weakness and exhaustion. I thought it was pretty crappy of them and I'm glad they kept her anyways because it would have been so awful of them to let her go.

TOTALLY. And I don't think she meant it the way it came out, or the way they took it...they kept saying she was quitting dance, but she wasn't...just said she didn't know if she could do it a third year in a row because it was so hard on her emotionally.

YES!!! i really love that kid! amazing. did you see how he did that ballet kick that debbie allen commented on (sorry i don't remember the correct term)? all these black guys are so muscular and look so "hard" and then they are amazing at lyrical and stuff. it blows my mind!
 
Oh was he the guy who was saying on his way down the hall how he's hip-hop, that's where he came from etc...then when he got out there, they said "we KNOW you've got more training than that, look at the (insert name of ballet move here)"? And he made it to the top 20?

I'm getting everyone all confused, lol...

yea that's the one Bree. He did hop hop for his original audition, like he was saying, but he's got a lot of other non-hip hop moves. Which is why the judges said that. He probably doesn't, maybe saw it somewhere and replicated it, or just knew it from the choreography, but that's why they said that.
