So we're getting ready to have our Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and it's being catered by a small local restaurant that has done it a couple times for us before.
Our principal always has us add on a 20% tip to the bill (she kinda micromanages our PTO). Anyway, I was just looking up the etiquette on this and most sites say that the tip is usually built into the bill. Since we just get a bill for ex: $6.25 per meal I have no way of knowing.
There are usually 3 people who come set up and then 2 stay to help serve for about 4 hours total.
Does anyone have experience with this and can give me some advice? Do you think the tip is built in? Is 20% normal (most sites I read said 10-15% since it's probably already in there).
Just curious.
