tiny korean people and my problem with 1 of them

why lizzy needs a margarita.

let me start off by tellin you that my mil is a controlling 4'10" korean woman.
(still with me?)

i cannot even begin to tell you how frustrated i have been since last wednesday when then arrived. my mil is like this person who thinks that the minute she walks in my door little forrest elves should start to sing her their praise while pixies and fairies massage her tiny feet and the other woodland creatures adorne her with some pointy crown that says this is my palace, my rules apply, mine mine mine.

why does she think that she is automatically in charge of me and my household. first of all i am a 5'7" husky mexcian, that could take her down so fast she wouldn't even know what happened. second, I AM NOT A PUSHOVER! there has never been one time that i have appeared intimidated or timid around her. i'm intense. that's how i roll.

ok...so with all this being said she now thinks that she has the right to tell me when i have had enough computer time.

so...if i am a little quiet around here it is not because i am "afraid" of my mil it's cause i'm busy kicking the crap out of her. comprende?

do spammers usually title their posts with something to do with koreans?? lol!!! you can change my title to "why lizzy needs a margarita."

:p

as a Korean woman I have only one response to your post

bwhahahahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaahahahahahahahhahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!

I can so picture the type of person you're dealing with, i.e., some of my mother's friends.

Koreans can be quite pushy and a bit overbearing. Not me, of course. I'm a doormat. :p

good luck (keeping your sanity) !

ROFL I can so relate to you on the MIL issue!! Sometimes I want to take my cast iron skillet after mine! LOL

awwww, honey. Want me to come over and kick her tiny Korean butt? While you are a "husky" mexican woman, I am an even husky-er irish/german woman. And that is just plain scary. :)
Sorry she's being such a pain.

hahahaha Lizzy's post had me rollin' and mimi's has me dying!!

kick her good for me and women with pushy mother in law's everywhere!

if it weren't for the title i was sure you were describing my mom! :) she was pretty much the same till she started seeing a therapist and took some anti-depressants. now she's good to go but still....some things never change!

I'm really sorry you have to deal with this. Listening to people talk about their MIL horror stories just brings back memories of mine. She and I really got along until I married her son. Then suddenly I wasn't good enough for him. But then again that might have also had something to do with his lying B**** sister, but that's another story for a different day. Hope things get better for you soon or atleast that they don't stay to long.

Just don't kill her, Lizzy... unless Jenny can help you dispose of the body. ;)

Hope they aren't staying much longer!!!!

ok, now that I can see to type after laughing so hard I cried after Jenny and Sara's replies --

ev1 remember by My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Girl, it doesn't matter what nationality she is - trust me, it translates fine. HANG IN THERE!

OMG I am rolling! You guys are too much. Makes me glad that all mine does is remind me when it's -40C to give my kids mittens. Nah, I didn't think they'd need them today, I thought they'd like to have instant-frozen-skin.

Otherwise, mine is GREAT, so I can't complain at all. I would seriously not be able to handle that!

Sounds like the MIL of my friend/co-worker - except she's Phillipino (but tiny too). Does the same exact thing when she gets into town. And my friend is a 5'7" German-American, so it does not go over well with her either. You two should compare notes, lol....
Hang in there...

am I the onlyone picturing an episode of Gilmore Girls here??? LOL
And from latin chick to another latin chick, I only have one advice for you...

Well I'm more like a 5'7 husky southern fruitcake but I think I love you LIzzy! We'd get along too good in real life. You are crackin' me up girl. When ya sending her home? :p

Omg, I nearly had tea all over my keyboard.

I just got rid of my monster-in-law this morning!!! You are so fracking funny.

ROFL, Lizzy! Aren't you done beating her, yet?

I love to hear MIL stories, makes me feel less lonely. I have recently had to explain to my boys, "No, it is not normal for grandmas to stick a whole steak in their purses at the buffet." "Yes, it is stealing." and "Yes, the police might come and take her to jail." Oh, wait that last one is just wishful thinking.

ahahahahahahahahahaha!!! all of you crazies had me laughing so hard. mimi koreans aren't allowed to have as much personality as you...what's going on?? :p all of you made my day so much better!! i love you all!

mine lives in alaska. that is practically another country. i rarely have to deal with mine too so that has saved my life thus far.

No wonder you have such cute kids. Korean and Mexican - what a great mix! Being from Hawai'i where there a lot of Koreans, I now what you're going through and I'm sorry.

That's rich! See, now when we go to my MIL's (which is rare since we live on different continents) I'm saying to my kiddo, "No, it's NOT normal for floors to be so clean you can eat off of them." "No, sweetie, most people DON'T eat home cooked meals every night, just Mimi & Doc." "Yes, you're right. Our house would look nicer if Mommy picked up every day like Mimi does." What a bad influence she is.
