Since they took him off his Lasix and replaced it with another med, baby Timothy has been fever-free and gets to come home this morning! It never was staph after all. He's a carrier of MRSA but the staph they saw in his blood was a contamination error. Apparently, Lasix was the fever culprit all along.

We are really excited to finally bring him home. He'll be 12 weeks old tomorrow so it's been a long road in the NICU. I'm sure there will be more bumps in the road, but I'm just so glad to get him home for now.

Yay!!! I feel your excitement! I can still remember how I felt 12 years ago when I could finally bring Cheyanne home from the NICU. Enjoy having him home!

Yay! Hooray for all the Dr.s & Nurses and all the strides they have made in the care of babies like your sweet Timothy! I'm sure you and your family are over the moon excited to get that sweet one home!
 
That's fantastic news!!! I am glad they finally figured out what was causing his fevers!
