Time

How much time do you spend on each layout? I've spent most of today fiddling around with a two page spread. Not too bad considering I have a two year old and a 6 months old, that needs constant attention. And if I only decided on a kit to go for I'd be fine, I just keep switching it out as I go.
I'm just wondering how much time everyone else use per layout?

It really depends. Some times I can whip a page out under an hour (not that common) and other times I set them aside and come back to them much later. Since I work full time, I only scrap during the evenings or on weekends, so typically I work on a page over the course of more than one day. Also, my Mac is on it's last legs, so my computer is very slow, which doesn't help matters.

It varies greatly for me as well. Sometimes they come together for me really quickly and I can do 1 page in less than an hour...other times I could spend hours on 1 page. For my PL pages I work on them during the current week (so, I'm scrapping the current week as it happens). So I work on them all week long.

I have a whole book of layouts that I keep going back to. I make scrapbook for each kid and each year isn't finished until I have all of it. I try to finish off the old one before I start the next, but last year still has a few touch ups I want to do. (Each "year" is counter between birthdays and not after the calendar).

I try to do a layout a day. Normally it can take me four hours to two days. It totally depends on my almost one year old and five year old. Lately they have been sick. So it's taking me forever..

When I do a layout without a template, usually about an hour. Normally though they take 2-3 hours.

It varies for me as well. Somewhere between 1 and 4 hours, but I think 2 to 2 1/2 is most common.

Same for me!
I never finish a layout in less than an hour.
If I immediately know which kit (and template) to use, it takes me about two hours.

Probably about 3 hours a layout. And by that I mean 3 hours of actual scrap time. I usually scrap after the kids are asleep so I don't have to factor in kid interruptions, but sometimes work stuff I need to do in the evening or internet distractions can stretch that 3 hours into 2 or 3 days. The more photos I'm using, the longer the page takes. I can probably do a single photo LO in 1.5-2 hours. PL pages take me twice as long as non-PL pages, since selecting and editing the photos is so time consuming. I spend at least 2 evenings on those and more like 5-6 hours.

It takes me a good couple hours to scrap a page, I tend to change my mind about certains parts of a layout throughout the process too, which just adds more time to it. On average though I'd say about 2/2.5 hours. I do only scrap in the evenings though, some evenings I'm too tired to do any scrapping so that sets me back further but hey ho! As long as the pages get done eventually, I don't mind.

I"m a pretty quick scrapper, I can get one done in an hour or two. Sometimes it takes me longer though

It depends on how distracted I am. I would say generally all things considered, I take about 1.5-2 hours per page. Sometimes much, much longer. Not usually all in one sitting just because of our family's schedule. It's why I use a template most of the time - layouts made without a template usually end up taking me 10x longer because I am not good at just...arranging things. Totally not a strength of mine (at least not without taking days on every layout!).

I am with Adrianka, but I rarely goes beyond 3 hours. I actually scrap quicker without than with templates.

I'm soooo slow. And, lately, templates actually slow me down even more.

It varies for me as well. Somewhere between 1 and 4 hours, but I think 2 to 2 1/2 is most common.
Me too! Doesn't matter if im doing PL either. Might be a bit faster though if my supplies were organized and I didnt get so distracted by the internet

Minimum 1 hour, if it all falls together... and probably up to 3 hours if I fuss over stuff. On average, it's probably 2 hours.

I'm slow with templates - trying to get the papers in all the right order, it makes me crazy.

My pages usually take me a few hours, longer if I'm multi-tasking. If I'm art journaling, however, it goes super fast. I love to just layer it on, blend it up, journal, add paint and be done! Very therapeutic to let go and let it be what it's going to be. I can't do that on a more traditional page though - the OCD in me won't allow it. :)

My normal is 2-3 hours. Might be a little less if I am "seeing" the idea in my head and I stick to pretty much one kit. My PL layouts take about 4 hours usually because I just keep adding stuff to them.

I'm pretty slow and I rarely just do a layout from start to finish. I'd say on average a few hours? If I'm using a template I'm a lot slower.

95% of my pages take 45 minutes to 3 hours. Sometimes I will have a page come together quicker, sometimes it takes longer, but I have learned that if it takes beyond a few hours I tend to just shelve it and wait until I am more inspired.
