So, since the seasons are reversed, are your kids out of school for summer break like December-February?

Yep. New Zealand and Australia have very similar school break times. Here in NZ our kids finish the school year mid-late December, and start up the new school year at the beginning of February. Our Summer is December - February. Gotta love hanging out at the beach for Christmas

We only have around 7 weeks summer break though not as long as summer breaks in US but we have 2 weeks break at the end of every term

that is just so weird! I'd love to spend a year in the southern hemisphere <3

and in my case college breaks are from late November through to late February/early March - about 14 weeks all up I think which drags on and on and on ........
