This time, music!

I have seen a book thread, and I a a huge book nerd but also music is life! I go through song obsessions. I hear it, instantly connect and love it, then listen to it enough that my husband knows all the lyrics then I move on lol.

Right now I am obsessed with Stick Season by Noah Kahan

and

Do It All the Time by I Don't know how but they found me.

Do you have some good songs to share?

So growing up, my mom always listened to whatever I was listening to and liked it and now I mostly listen to what the girls listen to and love it. I love pop / dance / edm / indie... I'm all over the place really.

Loving Tortured Poets (ofc) and we've got a bit of an Olivia Rodrigo kick going atm too. They LOVE Stick Season too, but I haven't listened to it. Maybe I will today! Emily went to record store day last weekend and her #1 must have for her vinyl collection was the record store day single from Noah and Olivia.

Adriaan and I have also been turning on Tame Impala radio on Spotify a lot lately. Great mix of music that gives him a break from all the Taytay lol

Oh my gosh... hmm... oddly at the moment I'm not obsessing over any song in particular. I've telling Alexa "I like this song" a lot... and then ask for that list to be played. I've been back into 90's Hip Hop lately... schooling the 17yr old over what is good music... he is such an old school and thinks big band/polka is where its at... LOL!

I'm not listening to anything new per se right now. I love The Civil Wards, The Paper Kites, Of monster and Men, Twenty-One pilots, Florence + The Machine, etc.

I do like Stick Season as well and Beautiful Things. my kids are OBSESSED.

Very rarely do I listen to new music. I have been listening to a little AJR, I took my daughter to see them a few weeks ago.

Typically it's 80s & 90s country, class rock, and if there is anything new, it's mostly Americiana - Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, etc.

I listen to country music for the most part and then the music of my youth like Meatload, Styx, Journey and so on. Funny thing is my kid listens to alot of the bands from my youth too. He and his wife love Fleetwood Mac. Right now I am liking a lot of stuff from Jelly Roll.

I love music threads because I love to know what people are listening to so I can refresh my playlists on Spotify lol! I am always open to new songs an artists I dont know of.

I think I am quite an eclectic girl when it comes to music. I listen to a little bit of everything actually but I've been listening to a lot of 2000's songs lately.
