They just don't get it...

Paper scrappers that is. Not that I have anything against them, cause I still do it a bit too.

Anyways, I posted a digi card over at another site thats both paper & digi, and I said in my description that it was not paper, but a digital version and that I printed the card peices out and layered them....

And I get a comment of "What a great use of scraps!!". Ummm, yeah. Didn't use a single scrap on that card, my dear. LOL!

LOL ... that's kinda funny. It's kind of like when you post a quick page and people comment on the placement of elements and stuff ... um, thanks! but I didn't make it! LOL. (I've shared them before if I added journaling or a photo I really liked worked well with it.) People really need to learn to read the description. Either that, or that person really just didn't believe you that it was digital ... I guess that's a good thing! :D

It works the other way too - I posted a hybrid card (I think it was at DST), put hybrid card in the title and got a comment along the lines of lovely layout but where is the photograph?:blink: It's a card!!

Sometimes I think people go "comment crazy". They dont' really pay attention to what they are commenting on or about, they just want their comment numbers going up. I haven't seen that here, but I have at a few other places!

LOL! Being a paper and digi scrapper I get this all the time. My paper friends don't get the digi thing at all so they tend to comment more on my paper pages which these days are few and far between! My digi friends don't really care about my paper pages. I don't get annoyed about the 'reading' of the description anymore, I used to but sometimes I don't read it either and normally only do if I want to find out who made something on the page so I'm just as much at fault at that. But I ALWAYS read the title so hopefully I'll never comment 'nice layout' on a card! LOL!

Also, being a paper scrapper, Jae, I can understand why that person said nice use of scraps, most paper scrappers make cards with their scraps, the fact that you said pieces and I'm sure they never even saw the word digital would explain it to me! ;)

Hahaha, I think most people don't get digi. Jordan doesn't. One of these days I need to get all my schtuff uploaded and get a book printed. Then he might. That might be a project for Christmas break. Hmm.....

Anyway, my mom paper scraps and is also barely able to use a computer. So she thinks my digi stuff is MAGIC! LOL!

I've also learned to let stupid comments go. Like someone said, a lot of people don't even look, they just breeze through the gallery throwing out "that's so cute!" and "Awesome LO!" on everything they can to get their numbers up.

bwahahahaha oh Jae, LOL! it IS the prettiest card and it has an impressive 13 comments too! a lot of people (I admit myself as well) skim over the description

Oh I agree, I've gotten some strange comments that I'm pretty sure weren't meant for me. Like "great extraction" on a page that had nothing even resembling an extraction. Or "love the angle on your photos" on a page where the description specifically said the photos came from a website.

If I'm going to comment on something specific I always try to check the description because I want to at least comment on something the person actually did. "Great design" on a layout that uses a template or "great photo" when it's a stock photo just seems silly, ya know?

LOL, Lynette! I get comments complimenting my design all the time, and all I use are templates! I'm always, like, WOOT, let me pass that on to Bree, lol!
