The Worst Part Of Summer...

Is the mosquitos!! Holy crap, I'm COVERED in bites...my face, arms, hands, lower back, legs and feet. Seriously, what the heck, they are definitely loving me this summer, lol. The friends I was camping with hardly have any bites at all - the mosquitos were all attracted only to me, lol.

Leila's helpful hint of the day:

To avoid mosquito bites, stay indoors. I do. It works. :p

Sorry you're all bit up, Bree!

They love me, too. We can be outside and I'll be the only one bothered. I hate those little things.

colors and scents make a big difference in whether you get bit or not. I get bit alot too and we have mosquitos down here so big youd swear they could carry you away LOL. When I was pregnant with my son I had allergic reactions to mosquito bites. I would swell up so bad...like normally I get a little welt where I get bit but when I was p/g I would get knots some as big as a golf ball!! Im so glad it went away after he was born. If they are itchy I usually use a dab of rubbing alcohol on them. Meat tenderizer also helps thee itchinesss go away.

I've always been the one to get eaten up too. I hate it! I'm sorry to hear that you are all bitten up Bree.

I love living here in Southern California now. I can be out at night, and no mosquitoes!! We lived in Alaska for seven years when my older ones were little, and people joke about it that they are the state birds up there! My poor oldest son (who has type O blood like me)...his birthday is in June, and I could never get a birthday photo of him because his face was always all swollen up from those nasty bites. My other boys (that all have type A blood like my dh) have no problems with bites. They get them, and the next day they're gone!

You must have good sweet blood! ;) LOL Sorry about the bites try and remember to put on some repellent next time... It wont keep them all away but it does help.

*snort* That made me laugh!

The only time I'm in the popular crowd, and it's with the mosquitos... I feel for ya, Bree!

They suck here, too. *ha!*

My EE swells up BAD. And then they leave awful red marks after the swelling has gone down. They love her sassy & sweet blood....

My son and husband swell up really bad when they get bitten by mosquitoes...I have problems once in a while, but not too bad, and I was born in MN where the state bird is the mosquito!
