The Sound of Music...

I bought it on DVD about 6 months ago, and my kids have now watched it approximately 19,246,789,853 times (not to mention listening to the music CD). My undying love of the Sound of Music is actually wearing a bit thin.

A Captain with seven children. What's so fearsome about that? . . .

What? No State Fair? Not that Pat Boone/Ann-Margret crap, but the good version with Jeanne Crain and Dana Andrews? I LOOOOVE IT.

you know what? i love state fair, but my mom never ingrained that one into us at a young age so it was never as dear to my heart as some of the others. i need to watch it again!!

Rent is one of my all time faves. I saw it like 3 or 4 times on Broadway. SO FLIPPING GOOD!

I do heart the Sound of Music though. SUCH a good soundtrack.

What about "Meet Me in St. Louis" and "White Christmas" and "High Society"?? How about "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"
And let's not count out all the Disney musicals.
I believe that the world is a better place because of "Mary Poppins" and "Enchanted" is pretty good too.

i totally own both the original michael crawford and the new gerard butler sountracks along with the new movie with gerard!!! phantom is like my 2nd fave of all time behind wicked. i'm such a fool for forgetting! lol thank u col for bringing me to my senses!!

I actually broke my VHS version from watching it too much....it has now been replaced with a DVD thank you very much.................BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Miss Saigon hit the big screen...what an awesome production!

And, ok, some said it was cheesy, but I liked Newsies when it came out...I loved Christian Bale from the start LOL.
