The Skinny Jeans Experiment: UPDATED on page 4

I'm so excited about this! I came home from visiting David feeling REALLY inadequate about my weight because he's lost SO much weight...I'm bigger than him and I don't like that. He's 6'1 and when we married he was 350 lbs. I'm thrilled that he's lost weight but now, at this point, I'm bigger than him and I must correct this!

So I've been chatting with Teresa, who many of you know, decided to not do a second round of TBLDS, and I'm going to host this for those of you who wanted to try something similar but a little different! My goal is to make it slightly less time consuming than TBLDS because I had a hard time doing all of the food journals and it became too much for me to take on near the end!

Since I'm asking people to do this, I'll share with you first: These are the jeans that inspired this challenge. They are too small on me, and that is WITH Spanx on in this picture. I want to wear them comfortably again.

This isn't affiliated with Sweet Shoppe in any way, but I'm only posting this here for my sweets :) (Though I must say so many of you are pregnant I'm not sure that leaves anyone left to lose with me :p )

man! With 6 weeks left in this pregnancy, I'm definitely wanting to see my own pants again - lol
Hopefully this will be such a hit that you'll do this again at the first of the new year so we preggo's can have a go'round! :)
 
Lena.. I'd love to do this with you. I am 7 weeks post partum and need to get back into a single digit # pair of jeans. I have 6 weeks before I have to return to work and would like to lose some more weight. I'll email you.. :)
 
Woo! good luck girls! I just did the Biggest Loser with T and had a great time :)

I fit in my skinny jeans now and I know you will all feel great when do this! :) Have fun!

I have never measured my weight loss as lbs lost, but sizes lost. hehee So this will be good for me ... I have three pairs of jeans in my closet I sooooo want to fit into again!!
 
hmmm maybe I can do this one. LOL ok I'm like a major dork but I didn't want have to weigh in for the scrappy world each week with T's haha. Realistically.. I don't think my skinny jeans would fit in 6 weeks.. but it's worth a try LOL. I need another push.. I'm like 15lbs away from my first goal and I'd really like to just GET there already. hmm...I'll think about it haha.
 
6 weeks is definitely not long enough for me to get into any jeans anyone would consider SKINNY... but I do have a pair of brown capris the next size down that might work for this experiment. LOL
 
I did the very first TBLDS back in 2006 and I have gained all the weight back :( So yeah - I definitely emailed you Lena.
 
YES! I need this incentive to get back down to my low after having Callan last September. I've put about 10 of the 25 lbs. I lost back on and I want it GONE! Count me in! :)

Can I just make you feel better by saying...those jeans that are too snug on me in that photo are a size 16. I'm thinking maybe by the end of 6 weeks, I can wear them comfortably. And maybe if there's a second cycle, I can get into a 14...kwim?
 
lol 15 more lbs is just the first goal, where I told shawna I'd re-evaluate. I'm down 30 so far but am totally stalled out.

Ok.. I found 2 pairs of pants (they're pretty much the same size).. they shall be my goal. EErrg.. ok I'll email.. haha.
 
Jeez I hope there is something like this after i have this baby cause I can tell im gonna be huge when this kid finally pops! UGH! I havent gained weight at all but I am noticably more fluffy LOL
 
Okay, I'm in. I have no clue what TBLDS is, but I'm in.

I'm breastfeeding, though, so I have to be a little careful with weight loss so I don't deplete my supply.

I'm with you! still b'feeding parker, he does get on average 4 oz of formula a day (one supplemental bottle before bed)

TBLDS is the biggest loser digi style. There was a contest that started back in 2006, then Teresa started one on her site that was pretty much just for us SS girls...it was 8 wks long and just ended a few weeks ago. I loved it but it to be too time consuming for me at the end, so I picked T's brain on what to include/what to leave out to make this one a little less time consuming for you busy gals and a little shorter (why it's only 6 weeks) for those of us with the attention span of a gnat.
 
I will be emailing you too. I need to lose weight, but mine is really for my heart health. I want to live long to see my children grow and well, with my family history and issues going on right now, I need to do this now!! Thanks for doing this Lena!!!
 
I am getting ready to email you...I used to be a 16 and give anything to be back down...been 3 yrs since my kiddo I think it's time to get back into my "skinny" jeans!!!
 
I'm pretty sure with the expansion of my rear with this last pregnancy..I can kiss any chances of my skinny jeans bye bye..my butt just won't get that small anymore lol

GL to those participating..I think I might sit this round out but if you do it again after the holidays count me in!
 
I don't think I'll be going from a size 10 to a size 6 in 6 weeks, but it'll be an interesting try.

I need someone to make me jump on the treadmill every morning. I'm such a lazy butt!!!
 
Okay, I am so in.
My kiddos are almost 5. When they were born, I weighed in 30 lbs less than when I got pregnant. As soon as I stopped nursing it all came back. My hubby annd I took a marital break a few years ago, the stress was so much, I lost that 30 again. But then we got back together and it all came back. I maintain, but never lose. I hardly eat, honestly. My doctor tells me that it slows my metabolism. But I find it ridiculous to cook for myself, so I wait until everyone is home. I decided that when the kids went back to school, I would excercise and start eating regular meals. It hasn't happened yet. I just need someone to do it with me.
Do we get a blinky???
 
I'm totally in!!! Except mine aren't jeans either...they're a cute pair of khakis that I bought 6 months ago on clearance at Walmart for like $2.50! They are one size to small & I've been dying to get into them for fall!!! :)

YAY La!!! I really should be 20 pounds down but I'd be SUPER pumped with 15, we all have to start somewhere!

I LOVE the blinkie idea! Great way to remind us of what we should be doing!
 
I'm in. After doing TBLDS I started to shed a few pounds but I know I need help to do it. Thanks for starting this up!
