Anyone else watching? It started last night. We've been waiting on it forever  I just wish it was longer than an hour every week. I love WWII movies...probably b/c DH is obsessed with anything military of course and it's rubbed off on me I guess. We've probably watched Band of Brothers 20 times through. This one I'm excited about though b/c my grandfather served on the U.S.S. Yorktown which was stationed near the Phillipines during WWII...I'm curious to know if it's mentioned in the series.

and 24 peeps..the guy who played Chase is in it :)

I'm a bad wife and forgot to tell Jordan about it. We were up late last night for some reason, and he found a rerun on later last night, so he recorded it. We've watched Band of Brothers a tooooooooooooooooooon of times through, so this will be the same I'm sure :) Knowing us, we'll record them all and then spend a weekend veg-ing out and watch a whole bunch at once :)

My grandfather and Russ' grandfather also served on the Pacific front..and I'm just waiting til it comes out on Netflix since we don't have HBO - but am excited to see it, too!

We are watching too- but haven't seen the first one- it's on the DVR waiting for us. Brian's grandfather served and so we're interested in checking it out too. Never seen band of Brothers, but if we start back up with netflix, we'll have to check it out.

Here's a cool article about Brian's grandpa- he was on the ship that kamikaze fighters attacked. We got a note he had translated and Brian's cousin traveled to give the fighters personal effects back to his family all these years later. http://news.google.com/newspapers?n...v4rAAAAIBAJ&sjid=M20FAAAAIBAJ&pg=1673,8347910
