The next time I mention going to Archiver's...

..remind me how expensive traditional scrapbook stuff is K? CRAZY!!!!!

I'm 45$ poorer and I got practically nothing.

Seriously! That's one thing I do NOT miss about my paper scrapping days. I remember walking out after dropping $50 and coming away with a few sheets of paper, some ribbon, maybe a chipboard alpha, and some Prima flowers or something.

Digi is the WAY to go. :)

I'm in the same boat as Libby! I can't belive that I ever spent so much on so little! I mean, I buy a kit here for $6 and not only does it have EVERYTHING, but I can re-use different things over and over again for a totally different look!
And people never believe me when I say digi is WAY cheaper that paper scrapping!

No doubt! And let's not forget that everything digital is reusable! That's my favorite part. Well, that and the fact that I don't have a mess to clean up.:p

I am all over that no clean-up thing too.....I do however have to admit that it was so very hard for me but I did NOT buy 1 piece of paper this time...I usually walk away with at least 10-20 sheets (especially Basic Gray) but I kept myself grounded this time and got out with none!!!! I will fight anyone to the death that does not believe that DIGITAL is the way to go for sure!!!!!

I got LOTS of papers this time, and I'll be damned if those papers with the fancy scalloped/etc. edges are $2 a sheet!! I didn't even pay attention when I was loading up on them, but yeah..crazy! I also got a fiskars craft knife that Robin told me about and 2 jars of Prima flowers, but man..I feel robbed! :)

Yep, Yep. And now I have a whole ton of junk I collected over 2 years and can't part with.

2 dollars a sheet? Good grief, it was 75cents 5 years ago when I paper scrapped and I thought that was a fortune! Thank goodness for digi!

I love me those scalloped papers too and I think it s crazy to charge that much !!! I have a few but not too many cause I saw the price.......Those flowers ROCK though, I stayed away from them as well !!!!! I need a new paper trimmer and want a crop-a-dile too but I guess I will just have to wait till next week when I can spend my b-day $$$$$$$

HA!! Girl, I scrapped for EIGHT years the old fashioned way. And I worked for several manufacturers and got tons of freebies from publication, so I had a whole room jam packed full of paper supplies. I've managed to condense it all to 2 tall paper racks and 1 huge shelf that is crammed full. I gave everything else away.

Ok so I just thought to ask this..IF you guys were to buy supplies online, where would you buy from? I was just looking around at some places and notice a pretty good difference in the online prices and the ones at Archiver's.

I felt the same way the first time I stepped into paper scrapping store....I guess *luckily* for me the only one that's really close is now going out of business....so it'll be online shopping only until I see my sister. :) She has an Achiver's near her, but it's a tad ridiculous to fly there just for that, right? LOL

Take a picture of your goodies, Manda! :) I LOVE those shaped papers, but yeah...they cost a small fortune!

Depends on what you're looking for Bean.

scrapbook-warehouse.com has pretty decent prices on Primas, but doesn't carry BG.
My mom buys from addictedtoscrapbooking and 2peas all the time.

PS~I still have zero control when it comes to shopping for paper supplies. It's insane and I might need a support group.

I love this place for paper and they have GREAT customer service.
I would second Lifetime Moments but last time I was a paper scrapper they hardly ever had anything in stock.
Ebay used to be awesome for scrap goodies too but I don't know how great they are anymore.

Yep, I used to love Lifetime Moments. Ordered from there a lot. Unfortunately, it looks like some of my other old favorites are out of business now.

Totally agree....and that's why my paper LOs looked like crap, because I couldn't afford to make them look good!!! LOL!:)

I second Memory Villa....I got some of my chipboard there before we started carrying it here. They were fast with shipping and had pretty decent prices.

I seriously start salivating when I go into Michael's. Everything looks so awesome, and I envision myself making all these cool things LOL. Sadly, I've not made anything cool LOL

Tell me about it - I still do traditional/hybrid scrapping and was at a Scrapbook Expo/convention on Saturday morning, was there for an hour and a half and EASILY dropped $100. I honestly don't know what my grand total was - I'm too scared to add it all up.

Yeah, I used to buy from Addicted to Scrapbooking and also from another place that I cannot remember but now I only go if I NEED to buy something, not just for the fun of it anymore ;) I was SOOOOOOOO bad about buying stuff I did not need and have a butt-load of stuff not being used to prove it too!!!!!!!

LOL, me too!!! It makes me sick everytime I look to my left and right and up and down when I sit at the comp, its all sitting here and not being used. . . .urggg...the money I could have spend on digi kits, LOL!!!!:p
