Technical question...

 Okay, I can't believe I can't figure this out, I feel silly. So I have some stamped alphas from Traci and Heather....

How do I color them???? I use Adobe 7.0.

You have them as the brush file? That's the way I prefer my stamped alpha because then you can choose your color really easily.

You can either install them as brushes (if they come that way...and I'm not really sure how to do that in PS 7, though), OR you can drag/drop each letter onto your layout and then treat them like a template:

- Create a layer above the letter you want to color
- Fill in the area with the color you choose OR use a paper
- Clip the paper/solid color to the letter by hitting Ctrl+G or Ctrl+Alt+G (whatever it is in your program - they're different between versions)

It always cracks me up how many different ways there are to accomplish the same thing in PS.

I would select the letter layer (ctrl+click on the layer in the palette), create a new layer and fill the selection with color.

I usually just double click on the layer for the letter and do a Color Overlay....pick your color there :)
This is how I do it too. I like it because you can change your mind and then just use the dropper right from your blending options. I also use this method for patterns.

thats how i do it too but i have CS 2 so wasn't sure if it was the same

I like to click the little icon that looks like a checkerboard (above the layers pallette) apparently its called lock transparent pixels or something like that and then paint whatever colour I want over the top. Hugs Crystal xx
