Teacher Gifts

This is the last week of preschool for my kids. They each have two teachers, plus I'd like to do one for Claire's ballet teacher (so, five total), and we just did Teacher Appreciation week two weeks ago. Do you have any ideas for inexpensive end-of-the-year teacher gifts?

I do this for both my girls teachers and our bus driver. I buy a popcorn bowl, a box of microwave popcorn, couple boxes of the "movie" candy and a $10 gift card to the local video rental place.

Here is the bowl I got yesterday at the dollar tree for a buck!!!

I can get away with each only costing about $15 bucks!!!

Well I have 4 out of my 5 kids in school and every time I go to ROSS dress for less. I wander down the isle where they sell nick nacks and what not. And I can usually find something to do with teachers there. This year I have a thing for the teachers desk that looks like a school house but its to put pens and pencil and stuff in got it for like 4.99 and then I have nother one that is a plaque that says something about how great it is to be a teacher for 5.99 and 2 book ends that are the teaching theme. I think they were 3.99 each. Anyway Check out stuff like that its cheap and the teachers love that stuff.

that is cute Elizabeth! I might have to wander over to the Dollar Tree!

I normally get the teachers gift cards to Target, which they always sincerely appreciate.

I'm going to have to run to our Dollar Tree now and see if we have any of those. Dang...that's cute, and those make great neighbor gifts too at Christmas time, or my boys would just like to use them!!!

Heading out now!

Advice from a preschool teacher-- GC to Target or the like are ALWAYS great, stuff for school use that we end up buying purselves (paper, crayons, glue, etc.) also good. Food and a nice note go very far.

Avoid school knick-knacks... I really don't want a million apple trinkets (but then again, check out my little siggie QT! Ha ha!) The notes, I really do keep in a "happy file" so if I'm having a tough day I have somewhere to refer to so I remember why I do this. HTH!

I coach skating, so it's totally different, but I do like Stephanie. I keep the notes, and when my day is totally sucking, I look at them and feel better. I have a great thank you note one of my skater's parents wrote me, and it's up on my wall above my monitor.

one thing my kids teacher always ask for is supplies especially copy paper. They use so much of it and it is not completely covered in teh school budget the teacher have to buy alot of it

I received the movie/popcorn thing one year and LOVED it. GCs to Target, Starbucks, local restaurants=HUGE hit. No Bath and Body, thank you very much. I have enough of that to start my own store. I'm also not a fan of all the teacher-ish stuff...but I know lots of teachers who are. For me, something I may not buy for myself or that I can use and enjoy with my family were awesome to get!
