Talk to me about the new Silhouette...

Does anyone have the new version yet? I didn't even know they had a new version until yesterday...I've got a few bucks burning a hole in my pocket and I'm giving some serious thought to buying one of these. While I have a Cricut sitting here mostly unused(not mine, belongs to DH's cousin who got it 2 yrs ago for Christmas and it's been sitting here at my house for over a year) I'm wanting something that I can cut digi files with and this seems to be capable of that...So before I drop almost $400 on one I'd like to hear from others that have either the old or the new version.

I went to a class on the Silhouette (old version)...and I OWN the new version (SD)...it has many new things the old didn't. I loved the new version of the software where you can type a word...then push a button and it will make the "mat" for it to cut out! Also it has an SD card slot...so you can put your creations on the SD card and not have to take your laptop (or home computer) with you on the go. I have not used that feature yet. I'm still learning the basics. I go to another class the end of the month on it.
