tabbed im chatting for yahoo.

I'm not sure...I searched the plug-ins and couldn't find it (though now I have iTunes going thru Y!M, lol...too bad it doesn't show what song I'm listening to)
 
Well, you still have to have iTunes open, but it shows what you're listening to in YOUR main screen, and you've got controls in there. :)
 
I know. I wouldn't mind having it open if I could minimize it to the hidden taskbar thingie (with the clock). But it takes up space on my regular taskbar and makes me crazy, lol!
 
I installed the new version for vista and it had tabbed conversations -- BUT it did not have the option of sharing photos. So I am back to the older version.
 
hmmm...I have the 9 Beta...it has photosharing but what is this tabbed convos and how do I access it? I only have XP though. I'm rebel on Vista! WAY too diff for me! And the lack of program versatility people have conveyed that it lacks....

Problems with the current tabbed IM chat windows for Yahoo Messenger make it almost impossible to use:

* You have to have a IM window open to receive new IM messages
* You dont know which tab has sent you a new message
* you dont know if any new messages have been received if the Tab IM window has focus
* You have to resize the window each time a new message tab is opened
* Changing and closing tabs does not change the window title
* You have to run a reg file to enable/disable each time

WackyB-IMTab-Fix solves all these problems:

* Enables tabbed IM windows when you start WackyB-IMTabFix
* Disables tabbed IM windows when you close
* New IM windows are displayed correctly
* Notification is given in window title when new message received
* Sound alert with new IM from hidden tab

Well I even upgraded to the 9.0 beta, still don't have tabbed converstaions. Installed the fix and still don't have them! ARGH!
 
Pam, what you have to do is install that WackyB thing, then close all the yahoo windows, and run it as a separate program (the WackyB fix). Then the tabs will work.

I had to ask someone how to do it, cause I couldn't get them to show up either, lmao!
 
cool guys! i dl'd the wackyb thing and i don't think i know how to use the tabbed im. wait up...bree to the rescue. ;)
 
Just close all of yahoo, then run wackyB from your start menu. Hit enter when it gets there, and then open yahoo. And you should have tabs.
 
yep the wacky b thing has worked great for me. Except on Jeff's computer but I think that's operator error. LOL :p
 
Wow T that sucks-I've had this on my puter for over a month and haven't had any issues...wonder what happened?
 
uuuuh I installed it, tried to use it, it froze up my whole computer and when I restarted it wouldn't bring up windows
 
Erm....I've used it for a while now and had no issues. This is the first I've heard of it doing anything but working.
