SYTYCD Week #7!!

didn't they do partners last year as well as the guys dance together and the girls dance together?? oh wait- that's the final 4. next week must still be 'random'.

WOW!! I wasn't prepared for that ending!!! I think it's hard no matter who goes at this point!! I would have been sad to see Mark go tonight...shocked that it was Will. Wow!! Obviously Comfort was no surprise!!

btw.. miss sherbert girl... I saw this the other day and it made me giggle..

so spreading some love for you

Will

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

Though I enjoyed Twitch way more than Joshua last night...even though joshua's routines have been amazing all season. Twitch is a fierce performer.

And I also thought that Joshua would've been on the bottom b/c him being a popper and Twitch being a hip-hopper and Comfort being a hip-hopper...I thought that they might appeal to the same crowd...so thought that that would make the hip hoppers spread out their votes. But I guess I was wrong in that. Better wrong in that than being wrong about Mark staying :)

Yeah, I'm not the biggest Will fan lol, but I actually liked his solo tonight. I liked how he used the stage. maybe he didn't think he was going to be safe and had actually planned that solo out. maybe it was on the fly. Either way...love how he used the stage.

The UGLIEST thing (IMO) of the night....L.L. Cool J's mic stand or whatever it was that was in the front of the stage at the beginning of the performance.

For those saying that it's rigged...it may be. I guess we'll see if whats-her-face, Debbie Allan (?) is a judge in the next 2 weeks...cause she couldn't be on as long as Will was on the show, right?

hahah I was gonna come post..Watch Debbie Allen show up in the next two weeks lol

I hope not. We should make it a Debbie-free year. She may have a lot of fury in her after her boy got eliminated.

bring back Little C. We haven't seen much of Dan C. recently either.

a little OT...just thinking about it w/Will just being voted off. It's pretty common knowledge that he was technically amazing dancer...I just remember reading somewhere recently about Marquis (you do remember him, right lol). Some weeks after being eliminated...he entered a very technical dance competition and won it...Mr. Dance or something.

So there are places (and competitions) where it's solely based on technical aspects. Good for him for entering (and winning) after all the grueling work on SYTYCD.

Yes.. that's great for Marquis :) This isn't about being technically sound...... I'm sure we can all build up a huge list of amazing technical dancers who've been eliminated over the past few seasons. It doesn't mean the show is rigged. He just didn't appeal to the mass audience. If you want to find the most precise technical dancer, go watch some other formal dance competitions (LOL I didn't say that as snotily as it sounded :D :D ).. most of these dancers are KIDS, they're not the best of the best in the nation- they bring something a little different (perhaps a little MORE) to the audience that imo is opening a lot of kids (and adults) eyes to dance, and I don't think that's a bad thing. I get tired of seeing things (not here) about the dancers not acting professionally etc- acting goofy, messing around etc.. This is an entertainment show, and they're doing a darn good job of it ;)

PS perfect example.. we know I adore pasha.. and we also know I adore ballroom/the like. Watching ballroom comps bores the crap out of me sometimes-- if SYTYCD was like THAT.. they wouldn't have nearly as large of an audience.

Shane Sparks left the show to be on the other show...he was replaced with Tabatha & Napoleon. I think he agreed to do one opening number for the results show, I can't remember if he's done it or not yet. Same thing with the one that choreographed that crazy zombie-esque dance number (Wade Robson?)..he decided this year he didn't want to be as big a part of SYTYCD so he agreed to do only one opening number (which was the first one, for the top 20, I think).
