Stupid snowplow!

Grrrr.... I am SO irritated right now! We've had lots of snow over the last few days and DH took hours shovelling out our driveway. Today comes the snowplow to clear the streets (finally) while we were out, and when we get home our driveway is all plowed in!!!!

Of course I look at all the other homes on the street, and NOT A SINGLE ONE BUT OURS IS PLOWED IN. And I know that its not because people have shoveled themselves out already. The people directly across from us has a SAHM whose hubby is still at work, and her cars not home, so she's out, and her driveway is clear. My left side neighbor is in her 90's and hers is clear. My right side neighbors went to Saskatoon today for a OB/GYN appointment (shes 8 months pregnant) and theirs is also clear!!!

It is SOOOOO freaking irritating! So DH called the town and they gave us a "Oh, sometimes the plow overspills a bit... sorry about that..." crap. Except its almost every single time. So DH took pictures which I will date. If it happens again I'm going to send them one every week and tell them to get their a$$es in gear and to send the snowplow guy a shovel!

where is your DH piling the snow when he shovels? is he piling it on left (as you face street) or on the right?

Our city tells us to pile on to the right and if possible leave a "pocket" for snow from snow plow.

this would frustrate me too! so far, we haven't had a huge amount of snow this year. but in know if i shoveled and the plow came by and plowed me in i'd be very mad! DH's truck has 4wd, but my escape does not, lol. i wasn't paying attention when we bought it; i was too in love when they showed it to me to think about things like 4wd, etc, lol.

If our plows have not come through yet, we're supposed to put ours in the street... But I have watched b/c I too have returned home to a snowed-in driveway. When the giant snowblower comes to clear the street it blows the snow in dumptrucks that pull up along side. It continues blowing it in long after the truck in full, so all that snow goes out the other side of the dump truck and back into our driveway. :thumbdown: I am with you, it is VERY irritating!!! :cursing:
