Stupid computer people

They should give you some warning! I'm loading pictures on tonight and a little message pops up and says my C drive is almost full. So I go check on it and I have 240MB of space left. That's it! :blink: :blink: :blink: I can't even load my new pictures on. One would think that they computer people could have built in, oh I don't know, maybe 2GB of warning... Now I have to go get an EHD before I can buy even one more kit. :cursing: Ok, everybody put out a boring kit this week, so I won't be more depressed...
 
Ok, now I'm really depressed. I can't even scrap...the little scratch pads that copy and paste stuff have taken the last of my memory. I can't even delete the things I don't want to use because the stinkin' error message has somehow made it impossible to click on anything. (And of course the error message won't go away...) :mad: :mad: :mad: Sigh. Perhaps I'll just go to bed.
 
Yeah make sure you shut it down though not restart...let it sit for a good minute then turn it back on...

HAHA just learned that in my computer class...better to shut down the restart...clears the RAM
 
Don't forget to clear out your recycle bin as well. Yep, you need an EHD. Sorry though! I know you prob can't wait 'til Black Friday, but last year I got a 500 gig at Target for $88 (it was a fab deal and I got the last one!!!) on Black Friday. And, since you now have a Target there in Alaska.......... :)
 
Being low on memory is so frustrating! My old computer only had a 40 GB HD that I was always fighting to free space on. But it certainly saved me money when I had to evaluate whether every potential purchase was worth spending 20 minutes deleting older things.

After you've restarted, try moving some things to DVD. If you could get even 1 or 2 GB freed, you may be able to scrap again to hold you over until you can get an EHD.
