Stomach bug and blue screens...ach!

So I got my daughter up this morning to discover she had puked in her crib right before I got her. Silly thought, hmmm, I'll just feed her milk and her regular breakfast of eggs and things will be fine. Not so much, egg-puke everywhere. Quickly followed bath for Meri and shower for me. She still acted hungry adn kept pointing at the bananas and so I let her have some. She was ok. And she was chugging pedialyte(poor thing). So I go move my laptop to plug it in and go take a shower. I come out and there is a lovely blue screen on my 9 month old laptop. Great. Something about the memory not being equal or something. I restart it and go into safe mode. It appears to be fine, but I'm nervous. ALL my scrap stuff is on here. So I decided to make a quick trip to Office Depot for the external harddrive I've been meaning to get. BIG mistake! About halfway there(seriously 2 minutes into my drive) I hear Meri crying. When we arrive, I go back to get her and there is banana puke, EVERYWHERE! Eww! Well, I'm already there, so I pop her in the ergo, run in, grab what I need and jet back home. Another bath for meri, I deconstructed the carseat and there is lovely puke covered laundry waiting for me! No more solids for her today! The funny thing is she acts like nothing is wrong until she pukes. So yeah, that's been my morning: puke and blue screens.

I hope Meri gets better soon! I get blue screens all the time (well, 1 or 2 a month) and a lot of the time the code or error is different, so I dunno what's happening. It's still working months later though! LOL

Thanks Leila! I love your name! That was one I considered for Meri when we were picking out names!

Jennilyn, thanks for giving me hope. Meanwhile I am in the process of backing up 40GB of pictures. Next is scrap stuff. And then I will rest a little easier...

Ughhhhhh I hate eggy puke, it's the most disgusting of all puke (as if any was pleasant, but that's the worst).

I hope she feels better soon, and the lappie smartens up! I hate blue screens, they scare me.

Aww, poor baby. I hope she feels better. Good idea about the EHD, just make you feel more secure.

Aww, poor lil thing. I feel ya - my daughter started throwing up yesterday. Luckily she's 8 and can make it to the bathroom ok. I'm just praying with everything I have that my two year-old doesn't get it. It's such a mess when the little ones can't make it anywhere but the carpet or the furniture in time.

Hope she feels better soon and I hope all turns out ok with your computer!

ya, ummm...not the morning you were hoping for i suppose. poor lil meri! no wheely bugging for her today. :(

glad you got the blue screen thing pretty much squared away.

yeah, egg puke was pretty bad. Though banana puke rates up there! This is her first puking stomach bug. I'm pretty sure she picked it up at the nursery at church Sunday morning. She was acting a little off yesterday but no puking.

As for the blue screen, it has not returned. I just finished backing up my scrap stuff. It was fun to watch the windows time estimation. At one point it went to 5 days 4 hours! lol
To be safe I made an appt at the sony store and they are going to look at it for me. They're also going to give me an estimate on how much it will cost to add more ram and memory. I tell ya, I am resting more easily now that the important things are backed up! phew! Oh and I got a seagate 1.5TB ehd! So far so good with it. Its small than I thought and very quiet!
