Hey girls, we're ready to go. If you played last year, you got an auto invite. IF you would like to play this year, please let me know ASAP as we are limiting the teams for obvious reasons BUT I am happy to start a 2nd league.

So this sounds interesting but I do t know how it works. Do you mind explaining what you need to do to play. And its okay to laugh at me I know I am clueless about sport stuff. :D

well, I'm not in charge of this, but basically Fantasy Football is for fans of American football (I specify that because it's not soccer... which is called football elsewhere). You read up on the players, make a draft preference of what players you like and in which order, and in this league the computer assigns you a team. (other leagues can do a 'live draft').

Your team will be made up of players from all different NFL teams. You might have Peyton Manning of the Broncos as your quarterback, and Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals as a wide receiver. You will have more players on your team than you have open positions. So each week you have to look at the matchups and see which players you have that will do the best in their positions. And watch the NFL stats to see how your players are playing so you can either cut them from your team or trade them for a player that might do better for you.

Be sure to watch for injuries to players because those players won't get you any points if they are not playing in the game. And sad to say, but watch the police reports LOL to see if your players are in hot water and out for some games because of legal trouble.

Your players get points for how well they do in each game. Your team will be matched against another fantasy team and one of you will win. The teams that win the most will go onto the "super bowl".

My husband is super into fantasy football and even plays for money because he is really good at it. He is like a walking football encyclopedia of stats about players.
 
Sara, feel free to correct anything I said :) I haven't played on the SSD league since the first season but tried to answer the general idea behind Fantasy Football.
 
Lol Julie my husband does a money draft too and has for at least 4 years now .. he finally won last year and this is my second year joining in his. Hoping you guys need more cause I'd love to join ha!

I'm giving last years girls until the end of today to sign up and then I will start replacing with those of you in this post. :)
 
Sara, I was going to play, but the link didn't work in the email you sent -- don't know what I did wrong. Anyway, the more I think about it, it would probably be best if I sit this year out since the baby will be coming in the middle of the season. :) So please fill my spot with one of these other girls. Thanks!!!
 
Okay I sent invites to everyone in the thread except for Glynis, I need your email address. I need y'all to accept the invite asap so I can see what we need as far as teams.
