Appetizers and snacks.

Tell me some of your tried and true recipes?

We're switch Christmas Day up again and my FIL is making soup. I'll do desserts of course, but I wanted to do a few snacks that I could make up like Sunday/Monday. Like I'm thinking Chex Mix (which I've never actually made, crazy!) and those Bacon Club Crackers (also I've never made), but I just wanted to do some munchies like that, that will keep me out of the kitchen on Christmas day, but also be easy to pack up.

Bacon Bacon Dip served with Ruffles chips or your chip of choice. Also works well on crackers.

A quick cheese spread that you can serve a couple of different ways. You just take a block of Philadelphia cream cheese and top it with pepper jelly or sweet heat (if you use fresh jalapenos, it's called Cowboy Crack). I also like to pour some Italian dressing mix on a plate or paper towel, and then roll the block of cream cheese in, coating all sides and the ends. Serve with crackers. It's so yummy, and all the spices make it look so pretty.

One my friend makes and is super easy and yummy.

You can puff pastry or crescent rolls. You cut them into little square and press them in a mini muffin tin like a little cup. Add a bit of brie, a bit of canned cranberry, you can add chopped walnuts and rosemary or other herbs you like and pop that in the oven for a bit. So yummy!

Another easy one I just made.

Mix one stick of butter with 2 tins of sardines that you mash with a fork. I like it as is spread on little toasts. But you can add pepper, lemon juice, shallots, a bit of hot sauce or mustard...
