At your local B&N? I just got us signed up :) He told me there were going to be 600 people there so far!!:blink::blink::blink:
 
We are not going, I swore after that last Harry Potter Party (when I was the FIRST ONE to buy the book) when I spent 11 hours at B&N, that I was all done with that scene, esp. for a book I didn't read...but funny story, tonight at dinner I said to DW, "oh, that next book in the twilight series comes out Friday night, let's make sure we put aside some money to pick it up" she replied.."thanks, i already ordered it"....
 
Hahaha, I ordered it on Amazon but I can't wait that long :) I'm not gonna sit out there all day, even if I'm the last to get the book..haha
 
There is no way I am sitting out there all day! haha...Just going to get the booka nd maybe for some fun!
 
they're having a costume party and tabs is trying to get me to go as victoria lol. winner gets a free copy :) they are having trivia and food too :)
 
I would LOVE to go, but seeing as I've only just read the books and haven't had a chance to rope in any of my family or friends yet, I would be all by myself. I will be out there bright and early that morning to get the book though!
 
What do you mean that you "signed up"? I've never signed up for any B&N release party, when I pre-ordered BD there, they didn't say anything about signing up...
is this new??

I don't know anybody in this area, since we just moved here, so I'm going by myself. Going by yourself to a release party isn't nearly as bad as you think, Jac... it's not really like a party at all, it's more like the store staying open very late. ;)

I have signed up for the HP ones before...and yeah, really all that happens is there is A LOT of people in the store, standing around waiting. Dressing up can be fun...last time we sort of dressed up...we wore shirts that I had made that said "I'm a .......(insert HP Character here)"...on the back it said..."the end is near"

OMGosh I LOVE LOVE LOVE midnight madness parties at B&N. But, no, I'm not going since the closest B&N is four hours away.
 
i wonder if there will be ANY release party/get together for this book. I'm not hearing much buzz about it here (Manila) and it'll be released on Aug 4, not 2 :(
 
I pre-ordered the copy and they had a spot to check if you were coming to the release party. I would except none of my friends IRL have read Twilight let alone all 3 books. :glare:
 
I'd love to go to one, but i haven't heard of any near me. Not that i'd be going anyway. i'm pretty sure Chad wouldn't watch my kids for me to go to a book release party, lol.
 
I have some friends going, but I can't stay up that late and it be worth it the next day. I wish though, but my body hates me like that.
 
it's like, after 10pm... wouldn't the kids be in bed anyway? That's the only way I'm going... B&N is across the street from me.
 
that's our point too....My kids are in bed at 9 so we'll go after that. The party where we are going is from 10 till 1.
 
Can't go as I have to get up at 4am to be to work by 6. So, going to B&N at midnight just isn't an option, but what I wouldn't give to be able to go!
