So, who has gotten pregnant after having a tubal?

Vanessa - what a surprise! Hugs to you honey. It will be okay! Maybe it's just meant to be and this is a present. Maybe there is something else going on. Can't they get you in sooner?

I have to say that when I saw the post I immediately thought - who is trying to scare the crap out of Libby. LOL! Libby don't start worrying. Sometimes God intervenes.

Hugs Vanessa! Keep us updated, and as others mentioned get in sooner if you can because of the risk of ectopic pregnancy.

OH my good glory - as someone who had a tubal last week during my c-section, this post scares the daylights out of me (esp since I got pg on the pill this time! LOL)

At any rate, babies are ALWAYS a blessing, so congrats!!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly since I had a tubal after Kaylin's birth. I really don't think my body or my psyche could handle another pregnancy. Another baby, yes. I think I could do that and be pretty happy about it - but not another pregnancy.

Hope everything goes well, V. Let us know!

wow, congrats Vanessa!! I bet Keira & Cooper will be excited to have a new baby brother or sister though!

I do know that the chance of ectopic pregnancies are very high after a tubal so please be very careful and get evaluated right away!

I've heard this as well, so definitely be careful! In May it will have been 5yrs since my tubal and I'm not sure what my reaction would be if I got a positive test right now. Probably lots and lots of crying and Rob would probably be wanting to hunt down my OB/GYN to have some very strong words with her lol! Though when she did the procedure she said the way she does it there is absolutely no chance of things growing back together or getting it reversed or ever getting pregnant naturally without fertility help. I can't remember for sure how she explained it but she would only do the procedure if were like 150+% sure we were done having kids.

Holy cow, me too! I had a tubal at the end of Dec. for medical reasons (as in I shouldn't have any more little bebes.) So I hope in my case it stays fixed.

But if you are in a situation where you can have children more, then I guess it's a happy surprise! :) But what a shocker...

Aw! I'm so excited for you, V! :)
One of my high school teachers had her tubes tied, her husband was snipped & she was on birth control for her periods. Yep, she got pregnant! LOL

Wow V...what a shock!!! I'm sending you lots of prayers and good thoughts that you get the outcome your most wish!!! Keep us updated sweetie!!! :hugs:

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my mom had a tuba after me and my two younger sisters. Ten years later, she was remarried to a wonderful man and they desperately wanted another baby. My sweet, lovable, precious sister Jamey cost my parents $20K when they had her tubal reversed. :) So you kinda saved yourself $20,000 right? lol.

Congrats and I hope you have an easy, stressfree pregnancy.

I can only echo every one else, wow. Some times the best gifts are the ones you weren't expecting. Congratulations and best wishes. :)

I haven't been having any pain, but I will be on the lookout for anything like that.

We are going to Disney next week, leave on Monday, the VA couldn't get me in any sooner for a workup.

Dude, that's so crazy. I'm excited for you because sometimes unexpected blessings are the best kind, but seriously it took me a while to be excited for MY unexpected blessing...but I smile now every time I think about how happy I am to be pregnant again. I'll be praying for things to go smoothly, and I hope morning sickness doesn't ruin your trip!

It's been 4 years and 2 months and nothing, Yay for me.... I think I'd be upset but that's just me not mentally ready and all that jazz...

As the others have already said it's a blessing and I wish you the best, Congratulations..

Wow-I hope you're adjusting to the news and that everything goes smoothly! I know if it were me I'd eventually be excited, but I think it would take me longer than a few days to get there.

Wow. Just wow. I can't imagine all the emotions you had to go through (and probably still are)! I hope you have an easy breezy pregnancy!

Wow V. I had a tubal about 12 years ago and I thought I was preggo once or twice and I REALLY wanted to be. I got the tubal when I was married to my ex. Then I met my wonderful DH and we so desperately wanted to have one together but no way we could afford $20K to get one. All worked out in the end though and I am happy now even though we never had one of our own. Laddy filled a huge void for me cuz I get to see him grow up with DH and then send him home. ;)
Anywho - I bet it is a huge shock but I agree with the others - I see it as a blessing and something that was meant to be. Can't wait to hear the final news after your dr. visit.

oh woww!!! (((HUGS))) congrats to you!!! <3 I'm sure this baby will be the biggest blessing to your family!
