So what are your stacks?

I'm in {woohoo!}, but now I have the dilemma of trying to decide how to organize my "stacks". What are your categories?

haha - I just asked this question in the other thread - great minds! ;)

I'm wondering, too... do I organize it by designers, by theme? My downfall with Pinterest is that I had too broad of categories... and now it's out of control. :p

Mine is 'My Layouts - 2012' (and other years as I get to it), 'Inspiration (other people's LOs),' 'Inspiration - Project Life,' 'Inspiration - December Daily,' and 'Wish List' (product). I really don't want it any more specific than that.

Can I ask a lame question?

You know how on Pinterest we can 'pin' from outside of Pinterest site.... can we do that on Scrap Stacks? Is there a 'stack it' type pin thingy where we can 'stack' from outside of the site... or do we ONLY load onto the site itself?

Im a wee bit confused! But Im LOVING lurking around, love this already!

ETA: I found the 'stack it' button to add to my toolbar! Woot!

I have a stack for each of my CTs, a stack for other layouts that aren't for a specific CT, a stack for tutorials that I've written, and then I'll have inspiration stacks - perhaps narrowed down by specific categories - I haven't gotten to that part yet. I'll probably also start a stack of products that I love (a wish list type of thing).

I am totally going to do something like this

So I have been at the Stacks looking around and fine tuning some of my stacks. I have individual ones for my CT layouts, one called Layouts to Lift for the pages that I want to scraplift, and one for scrapping tutorials so far. I think I will continue along the same lines and have other stacks for other designer pages, etc... In all honesty, I think the more individual stacks I have, the better organized I will be.

Couple things I already wish for, and may be there, but I just haven't discovered them, is a place to ask questions, a forum I guess, cause I have more than a few.

For instance, I see a font category and wonder how that is intended to be used? On pinterest I post the free fonts I like and may want to use at some point. But I think doing so on SS would mean I am violating the terms of use because they are not my fonts.

I have other questions, but I don't want to bog down this forum asking them, cause I don't know that it is proper to do so. lol

So far I have one for my products, one for my layouts, one for large photo scrapping inspiration and one for general scrapping inspiration.

I have one for each of the sites that I am on a designers CT, one for my scrappy wish list, one for inspiration. I think I'll add a stuff to scraplift stack.

I love the Stack It button. Works perfectly!

Okay - I'm a lil confused about one thing.....how can you have inspiration boards when the terms say:

Post any of your own paper or digital layouts, projects, products, and tutorials.

If you find an item on the web you would like to add to one of your Scrap Stacks, please invite the owner of the content to become a member and post it here! We respect the copyright of others, so do not post ANYTHING that is not your own!

I am thinking that we can have wish list boards if the designer has posted a preview of their kit? Yes? Sort of confused, but I think I'm starting to get it. Tell me if I'm wrong?

There is a contact link at Scrap Stacks...ask as many questions as you wish (erh...well, within reason). I'll get back to you. Also, check the blog. I've been posting some questions/answers there each day.

I hope to have a FAQ page up soon. :)

Once an item is posted on the site by its creator, feel free to add it to your inspiration stack.
If your designers aren't there, ask them to join and upload their items.
I know it's kind of a pain, but it keeps us out of copyright issues. :)

My stacks are:
My Cards and Hybrid Projects
My LOs
My LOs for Melissa Bennett
My LOs for Lyndsay Riches
Inspiration-1 or 2 Photos
Inspiration-Large Photos
Inspiration-Hybrid
Inspiration-Love these
Inspiration-Titlework
Tips and Tutorials
Wish List

Mine are just a stack for each CT, one for other layouts & one for inspiration for now.

I just recently had to go back & reorg some of my pin boards & I figure once I have a bunch of stuff stacked I'll go back & refine my categories if needed.

I did a folder for each designer a CT for, then a liftable folder and then a kit wish list folder ... though I am finally it difficult to put kits in there as I can not just stack a kit from a store I want... like with my pinterest boards, since I did not make those and can not stack ... only restack kits. That doesn't work imo

Rachael...the rule states you can't use the ReStack button to promote product posts...uploading your own images into a CT stack is totally fine.
I guess I should clarify that. :)

I am still getting the hang of it but I like it! It is nice to focus all my scrappy stuff in one place.

My stacks are (or going to be, I'm still creating!)
My Layouts
Special Layouts (I have a few LOs that just need a special spot of its own. Like a special challenge, etc.)
Love That Design
Love That Kit
Love that Titlework
Love that Journaling
Lift Me Please
Scrappy Wishes and Digi Dreams
Tips, Tuts, and Prompts

And then whatever else I might want!

Oh, good idea, Liz, to make stacks based on what you like about a layout!

My stacks are:
Inspire Me
I Made It
I'm Learning {tutorials}
Gotta Have
So Glad You're Mine

Ohh I agree, I like that idea of stacking by what you like about the layout!! Because I come across some layouts that are great, but not really my taste - but I like something a lot about it, such as title work, etc. So this would be a great way to organize it all!
