So what did you think of the premier? I loved it but I was also disappointed b/c they left so many things from season 2 unanswered..I mean like what happened to the Irish girl that Peter left in the future...and is Tracy really Nikki? Did she survive that explosion and end up with a totally different personality? I guess we'll find out eventually. :unsure:
 
I didn't like it at all.

I felt the whole time...they jsut set this stuff up, and Peter goes back and fixes his first mistake and we've just wasted all this time. I don't like the good guys all going bad all of a sudden - and I don't like feeling that last year never happened. I'm sure later they'll have to tie in some, but I do remember somewhere one of the producers said that you can watch and not have to remember season 2 much at all.

I was pretty disappointed. But, I'm still a fan...still gonna watch to see where they go with it

Oh - and not that any human has no value, but Claire's role now seems useless if Sylar has the whole thing they spent the first two years trying to keep him from getting. And it was just so easy. It's as if she has no real use in the storyline now w/o drumming up something that isn't real. But then again, if Peter fixes his original timeline, we're back to Sylar still going for her.
 
The timeline just has me so confused...they've jumped back and forth in time so much that I have a hard time keeping things straight. And I agree about Sylar getting Claire's gift...and that whole scene at the prima tech labs or whatever when they catch Sylar again...didn't something like that same thing happen the first time he was caught there?

I am curious to see though what is going on with Mohinder...was that scales he was pulling out of his back? bleh!
 
I found it interesting, especially the part w/ Sylar and Claire...I don't know what her role will be now in the story, but it helped understand Sylar a bit more. I wonder if now maybe she's going to follow his lead and start trying to learn to use these abilities, since she knows now that anyone can do it if they just use that part of their brain.

I can't wait until next week!! :D
 
I watched the pre-show before the premiere, they showed some sneak peeks to the season and helped catch up where we had left off.

I KNEW the shooter was Peter! ha but that he's screwed stuff up sooooo badly, ugg. I actually am okay with Sylar getting Clair, because she's right... she has no defense. As tough as she is for not being able to die she is very vulnerable! I want to see what she does about that, we got a glimpse of her tougher side in the future. Poor Peter, he just can't understand that with all his powers, he cannot always jump around fixing everything because it is very much a butterfly effect. Mom Petrelli is a biotch! I can somewhat see her reasoning for helping Sylar in order for him to possibly hunt down the level 5 escapees but still... he's got the potential to be the worst baddy of them all if he gets all those powers as well. Mohinder, the dumbarse should have created a freaking cure before injecting himself!! I wouldn't miss him if he melted into a puddle of meta-goo. Parkman came across another future-painter... cool! I think Linderman is somehow mentally influencing Nathan AND Niki, powers of persuasion kinda thing. He probably found and healed Niki, placing her in her current position in order to get Nathan where he wants him.

And don't forget THE biggest freakin twist!!

That whole jumping back and forth in time lines is terribly confusing. I wish I could remember details like you all seem to be,lol. You guys do realize that with Syler being a third petrelli brother, thru mom, that that makes him Claire's uncle too? How weird can this show get,lol.
About Mohinder. I thought he was peeling skin chunks off, not scales. And that is just as wierd, no matter what :blink: .
It's a complicated story, no matter how much the writers and directors say they've made it so you didn't have to see the second season to catch up. Which was aggrevating, if you're one who spent a lot of time with the show,lol.

I don't understand the Nikki storyline because I don't remember an explosion last season, I'll have to go look again.

Mohinder is hot and uninhibited. WOO! I can't wait to see what his abilities are though, other than super strength and spidey sense. LOL
 
Mohinder always seemed really cool, having his head on straight and really moral through the whole thing and wanting to save everyone, I don't buy him all of a sudden running around wanting to inject everyone-including himself- just to see what kind of powers they'll get. lol, he was looking slightly green at the end and I thought he was pulling off scales too. But, he's hot, so if he wants to run around without wearing a shirt, I'll roll with it for now :)
I wonder how much time has gone by from the end of season 2 to now. I'm confused as well about Nikki. Her son and his cousin were right there when the house exploded... did they bury her/think she'd dead? I don't understand how she got to be where she is and get the power she's got now to turn that guy to ice. And what's up with Nathan seeing Linderman? Is he inagining things, or is Linderman's ghost really there? And if futurePeter put Peter in that Jessie dude's body, where the hell did Jessie go? (I think that was the guy's name...) At the time I was thinking Angela Petrelli was speaking figuratively about being Sylar's mom... I don't want him to really be their brother-pffffft.

Ugh, I'll definately keep watching, but I hate that they left so much unanswered!!!!
 
I liked it a lot, except I don't think Hiro would have just written off the formula like he did when the speedster took it, like he didn't seem to think is was all that important at first!!! Also, what's up with putting NOW Peter in someone else's body????? New power he must have gotten somewhere---and as for Nikki, I'm thinking she might be Nikki's twin since her power was different, looks as though she freezes people---they did elude to but never explained Nikki having a twin even though we thought it was her alternate personality, maybe she really has a living breathing twin out there. But yes, I'll will keep watching for sure.....I guess they couldn't answer all the questions in 1 two hour show---and of course we have the new symbol found in 2 places, in Africa with Parkman and somewhere else, I don't remember, but the 2nd painting looked like the Earth exploding--I'm going to have to watch this one again

And, ladies, please... his amped metabolism? The strength, dexterity, energy, the crazy sex... didn't anyone see a certain 80's horror movie? He's totally turning into the Fly. If not the Fly, something else... that kind of metabolic change indicates metamorphosis.

I'm glad they ditched the kids.

I knew Nathan was the only one who could see Linderman. I hate his character transformation completely.

I love Niki... I want her back, I don't like Tracy.

Early in the first season, I thought it came out that Nikki had a twin who died (Jessica), that's who she was "seeing" in the mirror and would come out and so all the bad stuff?
 
I really liked the season premier...

I love how they left stuff unanswered...makes me want to watch more!! I am so excited for this season...

I HOPE Syler isn't a Petrelli...that's just annoying...and what's with getting claire's power already....ugh...but it will be an interesting season that is for sure...

I totally agree with everything you said. The Mohinder storyline really bugs me. Maya makes one comment about her powers and what, a minute later, he's solved everything his father worked years for? And oh, let's just ignore the whole scientific process and inject the untested serum into ourself. Yeah, what a LAME way to give him powers. :thumbdown:

The new villians - can we say X-men knockoffs? Magneto, Pyro...I think it was a bit extreme to have them burning someone at the gas station. Even villians usually have a purpose they're trying to achieve and it's not just "having a little fun." It just seemed a bit forced to me.

The highlight for me had to be when I realized present-day Peter is in Weevil's (from Veronica Mars) body. I'd be all for some Weevil & Veronica scenes. :thumbup:

I'm really starting to feel like the writers of this show have no clue what they're doing or where they want to go. I thought Lost was bad but this is so much worse. I'm so over the whole "the world is going to be blown up, we must go back in time and save it" storyline. I mean, haven't we seen people go to the future and see the world blown up in EVERY season?! It's time to move on to something else.
 
Sigh..I really wanted to like it, but I was disappointed. :( The storylines were all over the place and I found it hard to follow. Agree with what others said about Mohinder, whole new personality, not a good thing. I also found it just so dark and depressing. I wasn't expecting "happy happy LALA" but everyone just seemed so....not sure the word I am looking for..downers?? LOL

Oh I know, I just thought maybe she was just a split personality and her Jessica side was the one that actually used Nikki's powers and that the real Jessica might really be alive in this new persona, especially since her power was different. I figured if Syler can be a Petrelli then why not make the NEW Nikki be a twin (triplet?) ----LOL (I also watch too many soap operas where everyone that dies can come back to life!!!!!)...I think maybe what bothered me the most about the show was that most of our main hero characters didn't act like themselves.....not Mohinder, Hiro, future Peter, Nathan (wacked out), Claire --the only character that did as expected was evil Syler.

And I totally agree about Mohinder turning into the fly-I thought exactly that especially when he started peeling off his skin (at least that's what I think he was doing)

I really agree with most of what's been written...I thought after last season's meandering all over the place they'd come back with a clear purpose but so much of what we saw last night seemed to be what we've already seen before in a way. "We've got to go back in time to save the world"
 
i think it is so funny that everyone is not liking the bouncing around with storylines and timelines...LOL!! that is how the show has been for 2 previous seasons. it bounces around and then comes full circle, then starts again. thats what makes heroes so fantastic.

anywho. ya. didn't like how my lover (mohinder) all of a sudden was immoral and all weird. did love however how horney he was. :D didn't like how mya can all of a sudden speak perfect english.

dude. i kind of like sylar now. i know...weird! i don't know why i like him. he's creepy. the petrelli mama was accurate with being pissed that peter kept screwing up the timeline, but weird that sylar may be their brother. creepy.

i don't like how the present day peter is in a fat latino's body. that needs to end. soon.

hate tracy and how she froze that reporter, lame. i want nikki back.

i think linderman is God.

i like how parkman thought the turtle was talking to him and i love that african man...can't wait to see what unfolds there, but yes i agree that they need to figure out quickly what parkman's roll is.
