Yeah, that's right...I quit my job. My McJob that I've had for the last 5 years.

Yesterday was my last shift...ever. They're sad to see me go, they want me to stay...but...it was time. Who knows, I may go back in the future...it wasn't a BAD job or anything, lol.

For now I'm planning on just staying home and focusing on designing. I may use the time to decide what I "really" want to do with my life - I've had many career aspirations - accountant, pastry chef, librarian, interior decorator...the list could go on, lol...

Anyhow, yeah...I'm kinda excited about not having to work EVERY weekend, lol! Sweeeet!

I know it's a bit sad for you, I'm happy for you Bree!

I had a similar issue this summer- I had to leave the classroom I'd been in for 7 years, a school that I knew inside and out, to pilot a new program. It was sad and a little scary at first, but my new program is awesome and I'm so thrilled I took the risk. I was sad at first, and of course change is hard, but I'm where I need to be and LOVING my new position. :)

I love the layout btw- those are the moments to scrap...

It is sad to close one part of our life, but you have so much ahead of you! Strive for your dreams and passion! You can do it! And when you do become that big time pastry chef, you better air mail me some goodies!!! ((hugs))

I hope this is the beginning of bigger and better things! You are brave, the older I get, the more scared I get of change.

good luck on the new chapter of "bree...i am freeeee". your gonna do amazing things no matter what direction you go...hugs!! bet your gonna miss those free fresh fries. or not. your prolly tired of em.

Hugs Bree! That must've been such a hard decision to make. My mom is an interior designer if you have questions! :) Good luck with everything - you deserve the best and to do whatever makes you happiest!

That's wonderful Bree - wish I could do the same! Now you'll have the time to think things through, good luck with finding your heart desires.

I seriously loved working at McDonald's, it was blast, I swear the people I worked with made me laugh so hard LOL. I miss it because I moved somewhere where we don't have a McDs.

Good luck deciding what you want to do! I am still in that "taking a year off" stage, after 15 years LOL

It's always a little sad to leave a job that you've been on for awhile. But, I'm glad you're gonna get to stay at home.
