went to Kohls first cause i wanted some of those fleece sheets for our bed. the ad said they'd be $19.99. they weren't. but i didnt get there til 9 maybe i missed that price. but anyway, i could not believe the LINE! it stretched on forever! i turned around and left, lol. Target was busy too. and ON, oh man, i really wanted to get the kids some stuff in there but NO WAY did i feel like waiting in that line either, lol. so i went to Meijer. it wasn't any busier than a regular day. i just got things we needed; new coffee pot, sugar, coffee, got me some new Skull Candy headphones for my iPod and found Aidan some cute jammies for christmas. but i didn't have to wait. i think i'll finish up my shopping next week. i have a horrible headache today anyway.

who else braved the crowds?

oh, and i ended up getting us a tv on Wednesday from Sams Club. a 46" Samsung 1080p for $797. its niiiiiice.:D

Well, hubby was up at 3:30...but he got wise this year and did his shopping online. He got on walmart's website and bought a GPS, an 18V drill, and a digital camera for my mom...we'll get them next week. Alot easier than dealing with crowds.

I did! We headed out at 10:30 to get into Toys R Us at 12 and the line went around the building like more than once, but we were in the first wave and were in and out really fast. Then we hit up ON and realized ours didn't open til 5am instead of 3 so we went to kohls to be in line for the 4am opening. It was madness and my body went numb in places because it was sooooo darn cold! I thought I was going to get trampled to death in Kohls, but alas I am alive and well...though my body is insanely achy from waiting outside for so many hours and the numbness just made me soooo sore. We went to ON after Kohls and I got everyone a fleece and then we hit up Target. I got all by ONE thing on my list and I am really proud of the deals. Everything was out of stock online so I am really glad I went. I didn't get home until 7:30 though and slept for about 2 hours and now here I am trying to wast time online so I don't pass out...lol! The hubby is at work.

In general everyone was really pleasant. It was just crowded. I did have fears of being trampled to death once everyone started piling into Kohls though..I think it was worth it though, lol!

ETA: I will post what I bought and how much I spent too....and For the record, My total outside wait time was a few hours and it was in the 20's....soooooo cold!

This was my first Black Friday to go OUT to shop. But the kids were at grandma's and since I've been waking up in the middle of the night anyway, I thought, "If I wake up tonight, I'm going out"... I was VERY surprised at how NOT caryz Best Buy was- yes I waited outside in the line for an hour (but south Texas doesn't get TOO cold) bu they really had it organized and flowing smoothly rather than being chaotic. Walmart on the other hand, two hours after opening I hit it and was reminded of why I never go there.

I shopped BIG this year- we've had it rough and so I felt this should be a big Christmas (hopefully my budget doesn't completely break now). We got:

Academy - A 13' trampoline and enclosure bundle.
Best Buy - Xbox 360 Elite holiday plus bundle with 6 games for Jax and my husband.
Old Navy - 5 shirts for Jax, 2 shirts and 2 pair of "cozy" pants and socks for Marley, sweater boots and a fleece pullover for me
Walmart - Loving family doll house & minivan for Marley, 5 packs of Star Wars Galactic Heroes for Jax and cologne for my husband

Other than something small for our parents, my sister and something else for DH, I'm done!

I went to the grocery store that count? I'm finished shopping for the most part. I want to get Teaghan that crayola dance/color thing but other than that I'm done lol

I DO have to say...the best day ever to grocery shop (unless you do groceries at walmart) is the day after Thanksgiving..the grocery store was BARE..not a soul in sight lol..was so nice

Thanks Meg! I am bummed that I didn't get to browse ON more..I am trying to look online..but it's not working for me. :( I think they have TONS of people on their site. lol

I got Luke's $70 Lego set (Indiana Jones Temple of Doom, I think? He calls it the boulder set) for $42 at TRU online. I also grabbed Lego Rock Band since we were going to get it anyway & it brought me up to enough to get free shipping.

Then, we left home at 9:30 a.m. (ha ha!) to go to Target, Game Stop, Lowe's & Sam's Club. We got $5 PJs for Luke, a gingerbread house and DH got a movie- can't remember what- at Target. At Game Stop we got Drawn to Life 2 for $20 and Big Brain Academy for my dad for $25. Some groceries at Sam's. lol But our best deal of all... LOWE'S. We got a brand new $1300 refrigerator for HALF PRICE!!!!! Oh and two poinsettias for 99 cents each. ha!

My mom, sister, and I went to Toys R Us at like 11:50pm thinking there would be no line. HA! It went around the whole building! Luckliy another line was forming in front of the store so we got in that one and got in pretty quick. It was a mad house inside though, we could barely move, so I just grabbed the drums I wanted for DH and got in line. An hour and a half later, I finally got to pay lol. I'm going to Joann's today for flannel on sale for $1.49 a yard! I just can't pass it up since it's normally $4.99! lol

Watching the local news this AM, they were reporting problems at our local Toys R Us. Seems a group of people tried to push through and get ahead of all the people who had been waiting in line, so the group that had been waiting made a barricade of shopping carts. Police were called out, but things didn't get any better in the store...people fighting over toys, and ramming carts into other people.
So much for the season of peace on earth, goodwill to all men.

We DID head to Sams today...got some ink for my printer, and some photo paper...DH got some tool he has been wanting (so much for buying him one for Christmas)...and some meat for the freezer.
Then to Office Depot...got a laptop cart and a 16GB flash drive (yay!).
That's it for us though...we're headed out to see Planet 51 in a few minutes, but no more shopping planned.

i headed back out after i got rid of my headache (mom told me to take my glasses of for a bit to see if that helped; it did, lol. i need new ones. been over 2 years.) anyway, went to Target and got my fleece sheets. OMG i'm never leaving my bed, lol. they are SO COMFY. got a space heater for our room cause the furnace vent isn't hooked up to our room and it gets coooold in there. we have a crawl space so its a PITA to get under the house. went a head and got the kids new coats at ON. couldn't pass up the prices. Chloe got this on, Emma got the same one in blue and Aidan got this one. they are getting them now, but it is part of their christmas. they just needed new coats. then we got groceries and came home. next Tuesday i will finish up (without the kids, lol) get the layaway out and be done! well, then i have to wrap everything but i like doing that.

My mom and I headed out to Walmart at 4:30 am. I was busy but not too bad- we were able to get everything that we wanted (except one thing my mom didn't get because she forgot). I spent a bunch of money, but it's ok... I budgeted for it and didn't go into my savings! :) And I bought myself a 1TB EHD! Woot!!! :p

I went to Target at 6am and had everything in my cart I wanted except for 1 thing. Got in line at 6:20, at 7:45, I had to leave without my stuff cause I had to go to work at 8 and there was still about 50 or more people in line in front of me. I was pretty peeved. Offered someone $10 to let me budge and explained why, the ***holes said, "Maybe, for $100." Nice, huh? Then when I got off work, I went back to Target and got everything I had that morning except for 1. I also went to K-Mart. Here's what I got:

Target:
Microwave $24
Toy Story Yahtzee $5
Up Movie $13
Madgascar 2 $6
Electric Drum set $35

K-Mart
2 pairs of leggings $10

I bought 10 yards of flannel because the price was so good! Excellent! I didn't get much else, except some nice soap at World Market that was on sale for $1.99 a bar and an adorable apron for $10.

We only went to Wal-Mart and got a 1TB EHD... we had already bought for the kids and the nieces and nephews I'll buy online when their amazon wish lists are updated. Hubby already has his gift and he's buying me a scrapping class which is still on sale through Dec so no rush to get it yet. My parents we already bought for and hubby's parents too, so we're pretty set.

I ended up staying home and sleeping in! I'm already done with the kids gifts & decided they really didn't need anything else and didn't feel like being out with all the crazies lol. So we had a nice lazy, relaxing day at home instead! The only shopping I did was from right here @ my computer lol, just got a few element packs here and then a couple of $1 items @ Catscrap, SPD & SMJ. My little brother and his 2 friends spent the entire day at the mall though and said it was crazy busy there!

We went to Best Buy last Saturday & bought our new plasma TV/DVD player/home theater system, it was a pre-BF special and was too good for us to pass up! We got the entire package for $799 but our TV is backordered til the 12th so we are impatiently waiting for it to get in!

My mom and I shopped! oi...I really hate shopping, but love buying gifts!! I can't remember everything we got today (it's all hidden in the back of the minivan, LOL!)...but here's most of it, anyway!

Wal Mart:
Brother Sewing machine for my mom $50
Character jammies for the kids $3 each set (wow!)
Crayola light painting desk for DS $15

Toys R Us:
Puppy in my pocket jungle set for DD $19
Twin dart gun shooters for friends' kid $10
Bendaroos for the kids 600 pcs (two packs) for $19
Crayola Illuminator for DD (? can't remember!)

Target:
Flannel sheets for everyone! $13 each set
Micro fleece blanket for my dad $13
Barbie furniture gift set for DD $29 (Barbie doll and 5 rooms of furniture!)

Kohls:
Isotoner slippers for every girl I know...$3 ea!
Fisher price toys for DS at 50% off...

JCPenney:
Skechers shoes for DH - $38 (regularly $70!)

I'm sure we got a ton of other stuff...but I can't remember now!

I had to be at work at 5:30 this morning, but our place isn't one that has special sales, so we were just mildly busy. We got really busy later on. I was off at 2, went home and went back to the mall with dh and my youngest. We went to Old Navy and I found 5 pairs of jeans for a few of my boys (premium ones for $15 each), 2 sweaters for my youngest, 2 scarves for my youngest (ok...he was with us and chose all his gifts).

Then, we went to Borders and got 3 books for my #3 son...thankfully my other son was there to let us know which ones he wanted. I also picked myself up a book...a very adult vampire series book (thanks Tali ;) )

and off to Hot Topic where the rock band shirts were buy one get one half off. I bought 6. One of my boys doesn't wear rock band shirts, so I'll have to go to the skate shop later and hope to find him something.

Oh yeah...one customer went to Bath and Body Works this morning for me and got me the $15 gift bag with a $40 purchase. There was SO much good stuff in it, and the signature line was buy 3 get 3 free, so I got a lot with my $40!

I also spent about $50 in scrapping supplies online late last night and some this morning before work. I wasn't going to spend anything, but the deals were too good to pass up all around!

Not too many more things on my list to get this year though. I'm keeping it pretty small!
