but it's time. To have the candy corn discussion. I know there isn't much new to bring to the table. Some people love candy corn. Some people think it tastes like wax. That is pretty much the only two sides there are .

But...I bring you exhibit A:

We bought some of these last week and I think it finally may bridge the gap between the LCC/HCC divide. Now, people who have previously fallen in the "hate candy corn" category because they hated the waxy texture, *may* in fact be able to enjoy the candy corn flavor without the odd way it makes your lips feel, not to mention how you want to take a hot shower after partaking in half a bag.

I'm not really expecting to convert anyone. But you must. try. these hershey kisses.
 
No. that is just wrong. Just wrong.

Candy corn rocks....but I don't like the chocolate candy corn. And you shouldn't go messing with a girl's Kisses like that. They.must.have.real.chocolate (none of that fake sissy white 'chocolate' stuff that really isn't chocolate).

I'm a purist like that lol.
 
Well.....I LOVE candy corn and I LOVE chocolate....especially white chocolate so, I am joining Lena's LCC group! Thanks for the tease.:thumbup:

Plain MnMs...omg ask Tracey (it's her fault I made this) I think we both ate so much last year it made us sick! haha but it's super yummy!! I've heard it tastes like a Payday Bar..but I can't confirm that as I've never had one lol
 
I'm definitely in the ewwwwww category...especially when the reader described the taste as "black licorice." Candy corn is BAD. Licorice is worse. White chocolate is best reserved for oatmeal chocolate chips (w/ milk chocolate chips, of course) and pretzels.
 
okay, I'll hear your CC is gross...but I'll raise you that these taste NOTHING like black licorice. Black licorice was a cruel joke by mean old men who hated children.
 
love candy corn... love chocolate... hate the idea of candy corn chocolate. LOL But still might get some just to say I've tried it. In the spirit of research and all. LOL

But speaking of Candy Corn my Wal Mart had a bunch of "gourmet flavors" like Pumpkin Spice, Creme Brulee ect......

I also saw that Brach's had some different flavors of candy corn too!!!

I actually do like candy corn & love hershey kisses so I'd try them! I'll have to look for them @ the store :)
 
I like candy corn. I read a candy blog last year that said the kisses were kind of nasty. I personally think chocolate should stick with being chocolate and candy should stick with being candy and not try to be the other.
 
hmmm that is interesting Lena I'll have to try it. Honestly I'm not big on candy corn, but I really love the Mellowcream Pumpkins!!! I already have a bag :p yummo
 
Um, I just like candy. *shrug* :)

ETA: I will say I've had them both. They're nothing like the other... but I love them both! And candy corn with peanuts is a must have about now.
 
My ds LOVES candy corn. He's not a big candy eater and hates chocolate, but he loves candy corn. I like it, too, though. lol

We do this minus the chocolate & LOVE it! It tastes just like a PayDay! This is the only way I will eat candy corn.
 
you know... ever since you've posted this.. I've had this icky taste in my mouth (it's not really there LOL it's in my head) .. I seriously just want to gag thinking about them hahaha.
 
I'm trying to figure out why you'd want to ruin the taste of perfectly good candy corn by combining it with chocolate. :blink: I LOVE candy corn though, to the point that I won't allow myself to buy it before Oct 1st because otherwise I'll eat WAY too much of it. :D
 
ummm I dont really like candy corn. Ill eat like a few pieces but I love the mellowcreme mix with the pumpkins. I eat all the pumpkins. Now I am going to have to look for those hershey kisses. I doubt we will have them here though. My question is do they have regular chocolate in them at all? I hate hershey kisses so I know I wont like them if they are just like the hugs are with a chocolate center (YUCK!!) Last year my husband and I went to Daytona Beach and they have this candy store there that makes homemade saltwater taffy and they have like a million flavors and one of the flavors was candycorn. It was yellow/orange and white too just like candycorn and it was DELICIOUS!!! Nobody could hate them!!
 
Never tried candy corn - it sounds like its only on your side of the Atlantic! Is it like popcorn, only shaped? I don't really like the look of the chocolate version...

I'll stick to toffee apples until you start exporting candy corn for us to try :)

Double ditto. But, then, I do NOT like white chocolate. I have no idea what knuckle-head thought up that pasty albino version of the food of the gods.
