So I am sooo clueless when it comes to blinkies.......

I'm sure I'm using an old antiquated program LOL I create my blinkie layers in PS and then use Microsofts GIF animator (free online) to create the blinkies.

I know there are some better programs out there, so I'll keep my eye out on this, too!

I do the same as Karrina - CS and CS2 both have Image Ready for animating blinkies.

There are some animation programs out there as well, though...not sure of any names.

So I have Image Ready 3.0 and Photoshop 6.0, do I need to use both or can I just use Image Ready to do the whole blinkie?
Once I know how to get started I think I can figure it out! :)

Thanks for all of your help!!! :)

1 more question.....do you create the blinkie at a larger size, then shrink to about 150x50 when you save it? or do you start at the blinkie size you want....
also (okay 2 more questions) what resolution do you use?

I read a tutorial that said to start at 300x100, 72dpi and to change everything to 72dpi before you add it to the blinkie file. That didn't work for me, so I just dragged and dropped to my hearts content, saved the psd as a 300x100, changed it to 72dpi and shrunk it, and then animated it. My first attempt at a blinkie is in my siggy (for me and Jenny for ADSR3).
