The time change really doesn't affect me. They're just numbers on a clock afterall! I'm sure DH loved it this morning when he got to get ready for work in total peace while Devin slept "late."
Me tooooooooo!! Seriously, I tried to enjoy watching the sunrise one morning, but it's overrated! The earlier I get up, the earlier everyone else gets up too.
I prefer evenings when they have no choice but to go to bed...eventually.
It's no biggie here...well, Mason was a bear to get out of bed this morning, lol...but other than that, it's been good. I'm ALL for having it stay light out later (I really don't get Daylight Savings Time...WHY does it need to be sunshiney in the early morning when nobody in their right mind is UP??!). I need the sunshine to keep my happy, and when it's light out before I wanna get up, and dark out during my peak time of the day, I get grumpy.
I can't WAIT for spring. Well, we're already getting the spring-is-on-the-way weather...the snow is melting, the sun is out...ahhh! Love it!
Bree it started for the farmers. So that it was light out earlier for planting, and longer for harvesting (hence moving forward in the spring, and back in the fall).
I never had Daylight Savings Time growing up (Arizona) so it was weird to do that I guess once I left home lol...
That said I have no problem with it. Just got tired a little earlier last night haha...my almost 2yr old however it has wreaked havoc on her system lol. We've been having problems sleeping the last week or so anyways, then I made the decision to run out to the store around 7ish last night and she fell asleep in her carseat..etc so she was up a bit last night. I'm hoping we're back on track today though.
I was tired yesterday and in bed by 9:45 or so but otherwise it is all good. 2 of my kiddos got up early but the rest slept in yesterday (me too-yipee). The twins were a little confused at why we were eating dinner when it was light out last nite, it was kinda funny!!!!

What's funny is that up here, in the province with probably the MOST farmers, they don't observe DST. Also, did you know that the law allows for municipalities to decide whether they want to observe DST or not? There are random towns in Canada that just say "forget it" and don't, it's so funny...
We are all thrown off here, the kids slept late on Sunday, so it's almost like they jumped 2 HOURS! I'm trying to even everone out today, but I think we are all just cranky.
It hasn't been too bad for me. But with the kiddos it is a little harder. Especially at bedtime and it is still light out, they just don't get it. LOL!
not a big difference here; i think the kids still get up around the same time,as well as me. usually by 8 sometimes 7. we didnt always have DST here in Indiana. i guess we used to have it a long time ago, then we stopped, and only recently started to do it again. i do like that it stays light out longer (so it seems, lol)
I'm missing that lost hour! We had both sets of parents over yesterday and woke up later than usual. So we rushed to get the house ready in the morning...but I'm glad that it doesn't get dark too early. We might kick up our after-work walks again to get in shape.
I don't have to worry about changing BUT I do have to make a note to remind myself for converting my time to EST for challenges and chat and stuff. LOL I always forget... am I 5 hours or 6 hours behind.
the first morning was rough!! i was up until 2... but it was really suddenly 3 am!! my hubby tried to get me up super early too. i totally yelled at him. lol
Everyone had a had time going to bed last night because it was an hour earlier. We all technically slept in this morning (it was 7:30 and we usually get up at 6:30, which is usually is...)
But I am enjoying finally getting more sunshine in my kitchen & living room later in the day. From early December until the end of Feb, I only get about 1-2 hours of direct light in those rooms and it's usually gone by 5pm. Now the sun is still up while I am making dinner
I'm lovin' it- the extra daylight in the evening is wonderful. I get to drive home from work while it's still light out and hopefully I can start getting some exercise after work outside too now.
I'm so tired! LOL I walk at 5:45 MWF, so it hit me really hard today when I got up to walk. I was even asleep by 10:00 last night and that is unheard of!
Gah, we're all screwed up. Mom's flight was delayed, we had a snow storm, and I got a flat tired all coming back from the airport last night. We walked in the door at 6:15 am. I've had three hours of sleep....so I'm off to bed shortly. The kids seemed to have transitioned well, but I'm having a hard time right now LOL
