Snow Day!

Looks like we've got ourselves a snow day here! It stormed here through the day yesterday and the night...and now...we're snowed in! Plus, it always storms on Sundays (ALWAYS) and the snowplows don't run on Sundays, so we have to wait before we see one, since we're a little town that doesn't much matter. ;) I don't even know if we'll see one on the road outside our house before Wednesday!

Anyhow, buses aren't running for the entire region - I'm going to bet the schools are all closed (how can they expect the teachers to get there safely?).

DH got stuck trying to get out of our driveway, so unless we see a snowplow, he's missing work...

Fun times! Too cold to let the kids go out an play on their first ever snow day, though!
 
oh, how fun! Being snowed in for the first day or two is fun, but it gets pretty annoying after that. :) Last year's blizzard here in Colorado left me snowed in for four days with my kids and I almost lost my mind. If I had to play one more game of CandyLand or watch ToyStory one more time, I was gonna kill myself. :)
At least DH is with you! That'll make it more fun!

we got tons of snow over the weekend, and are under a severe cold/wind warning ... yet we are off to school shortly. hehee I guess it's to be expected here. Buses are running, which means schools are open.
 
Well DH was finally able to get out...now that it's light enough out that he can see what he's doing (backing out of the driveway into a blown-in back alley is hard to do in the dark, lol)...so he's off to work. Haven't seen any snow plows, but I'm going to guess that the buses will be running tomorrow.

We RARELY get snow days up here...the last time I remember having one was like...15 years ago? LOL! We're pretty used to this type of weather! :)

I was just thinking about snow and snow plows the other day... If we even get a 1/2 an inch here, the snow plows are out- any day of the week. I'm sure those of you in more snowy places would be laughing at us! lol

Snow days can be fun! As long as you have power!!! Looks like you do. Last year we got over 5 feet over the night, so it was a snow week LOL But it was really bad cause we had no power a long with it.
 
fun day...LOL i think you are sending that storm our way. it is almost 70 here today and then tomorrow it is supposed to be 32 with snow!!!! the wind is really nasty here so there is a wind warning today. gotta love the weather!!! but hey, didnt' you get to go back to bed this morning????

Snow days are so much fun! I miss them. When I was in elementary/middle/high school if my parents thought we'd have a snow day the next day they'd let me sleep at a friend's house or let someone sleep at ours! :-)
 
we are enjoying a snow day here in Oak Harbor...doesn't snow much here but when it does the roads are really bad...so we only got between 2-3 inches and still the base was closed ...YEAH...gonna get more tonight {suppose to at least}..kids were on a 2 hr delay, but I let them stay home and play inthe snow, especially since we don't get it very often!!! check out my pics in my ACOT gallery....we have had a blast today! enjoy it up your way Bree!
