Sitting, Waiting, Wishing -- UPDATED
I have been sitting in BF's living room for the last 90 minutes waiting for him to 'be ready' to go on his business trip. We had previously discussed a 6 pm departure, so I planned my day around this time, packing this afternoon, doing errands yesterday, etc.
When I got here at 6, I found BF's gigantic duffel bag on the dining room table where it is currently half packed and unzipped. He assured me that he was 'almost ready,' so I settled into said couch.
At 6:30, I walked by his office, where he's been squirreled away since 6, to find him rifling through all the receipts in his wallet and balancing his checkbook.
At 7, I asked if he wanted me to go get dinner. When I got back at 7:15, he said it would be 'just a minute' before he came out to eat.
It's now 7:30, and I finally busted out the laptop so I could talk to Emmy and waylay my boredom. Of course, I already ate my meal so it wouldn't get cold.
Lateness sooooo annoys me. BF just has no concept of time. It's not that we have to be there tonight at a certain time, as his training starts tomorrow morning, but the principle of the thing, kwim? If I can plan to leave at the agreed upon time, why can't he? We'll only be gone 3 days, so it's not that we need to pack for a couple weeks. I'm pretty sure the Internet exists in Ohio, so it's not like he can't pay bills, check email, etc. once we get there.
I just don't get it.
Is anyone else like me? Or like him?
