I just had to come here and tell you that I just have spend a good hour reading the latest SSD magazine - it is fantastic! And I am not pregnant, my babies are no babies anymore and we are not planning to have another baby either. Thanks to everyone for their contributions, I cried and laughed with you!
 
Oh I'm so glad you liked it Nathalie! I spent a long time going through it too! All of the pages, products and stories are wonderful, it really makes you treasure our young ones!
 
Oh I am so glad liked it Nathalie! I spent a lot of time going through it too. It's amazing and the stories and pages were so fun to read and look at. I could relate to sooooo much in it and found it really touching. I just so loved it!
 
It makes my heart feel all googly; I love reading your stories and the pages are just so fantastic! I am very glad you started this thread, Nathalie, or else I probably wouldn't have bought it.
 
I felt the same when we decide don the issue-Not sure about it since I am so far removed from "baby" at this house, but GEEZE, I think it is our best issue yet!
I'm so glad you all enjoyed it!

It was my first time to ever purchase and/or see the pub and I am in love. All the inspiration is just amazing! I will be looking back at it for months and months so I can read everyone's journaling. Thanks for all you put into it girls, Robin, CT, designers, everyone! It is wonderful and Simply Sweet is definitely a must have on my list from now on!

You should go back and read the other ones..I LOVED our premiere issue and the travel issue was just as fab!

I was not excited about doing baby but warmed up to the idea and I just love how the issue turned out!

This is my fave issue by far! It's amazing and I need to take some time and go through and read every bit since I only got to skim through yesterday in the DSD madness.
 
Awww girls I'm so glad you liked it! I was on the pro-baby issue side and pushed hard for it and I have a 5 and 3 year old! I know there's still baby pages *I* need to go back and do and this was the perfect inspiration for it! Heck, I even did a LO of my dad as a baby and one with Patrick and I as babies too! Definitely a must have!
 
:thumbdown: I can't afford to buy it yet. I have bought all the others the day they came out. Maybe next weekend, but that makes me feel bad cause it won't be on sale anymore. I like a deal. lol
 
I'm so happy that everyone is liking it. I was excited about contributing to the magazine for my first time but actually had a very difficult time creating my page. The page I made is something that was very difficult for me to go through and scrapping about it was very therapeutic. If it weren't for the magazine I porbably would have never got it done. :) Cheers to everyone!
 
It is really an amazing issue. I just went quickly through and also have to take time and read every journaling. There's lot of inspiration (I've already noted some ideas I definitely must use on my next pages) and have you seen those hybrid projects? :)

Renee, I stopped by your page and read it, it must have been difficult to scrap this but I think it's a REALLY great page.
 
OMG i was JUST posting this in the staff forum. WOW, what beautiful work went into this pub! My single, and non scrapping girlfriend saw it over my shoulder and even SHE got sucked in!

I'm in awe - simply sweet is... simply the best ;)
 
i'm reading it right now......and tearing up, lol. i love babies. mine are getting big; Aidan, my youngest, will be 3 Wednesday and Emma turned 4 a couple weeks ago. Chloe will be 7 next month. maybe that has something to do with it, lol. i doubt we'll have anymore.....

and Shawna, i LOVE your page in it with your 3 boys and your pregnant belly! your boys are all so handsome!

aww, man! now i just read La's page about missing Connor's first days.....*tears* lol

oh I am so glad! i will admit - i was not stoked about babies, but this issue turned out to be fabulous!! all the stories are wonderfully done and the pages are beautiful. :)
 
oh, and i forgot! i have a baby shower to go to Saturday with my mom and i wasn't sure what to get. now i think i'm going to make a couple onsies with iron ons and decorate a box to put them in!

Corey - i LOVE those pictures too, so so much! Dani Mogstad actually took them for me :) and I am SO SO grateful for them, it is something I'll cherish till i'm old and grey!

I felt the same reading, its sad to think i'll have no more babies, but moving too, because I feel so tremendously blessed!

Thank you for the complement on the boys! :) they are my little charmers!
 
Dang it! I was going to skip this issue because my kid are past the baby stage...but with such rave reviews, how can I pass it up??

Beckie, a LOT of us as staffers were sorta lukewarm on doing a baby issue because our babies are a bit older now and EVERYONE scraps babies, but I gotta tell ya, this issue is brilliant & so moving! Because we encourage everyone on the team to create for each issue no matter what their current situation is, I think we got some great inspiration because those of us without babies in the house had to revisit memories from when we were pregnant or had a new baby. Oddly enough, it made this issue really applicable to EVERYONE because it's inspiring to think that we CAN go back. We don't always have to scrap what happened this week or last, but can instead scrap what happened 10 years ago too!

This issue is our biggest yet and the hybrid section is HUGE with lots of great projects that can be altered for any occasion.

You guys will love this one... promise!

I am so glad everyone has loved it. I too think the issue is amazing and I am so honored to be part of such an amazing team of scrappers and designers that come together to make every issue of Simply Sweet so.... well, sweet!!!
 
ugh! I have been reading a layout here and there just for writing inspiration. I get writer's block and reading anything can sometimes get me back in the swing. However, now I am crying. These layouts. Oh em gee....so amazing. So heartfelt. You girls are simply amazing. I can't even put into words how remarkable this issue is. If you haven't snagged it, you have to. So inspiring. It has truly shown me that I have many, many things I need to document for my children about their infancy before it is all lost. My babies are 18, 16 and 12 so, I better get on this. What a wonderful gift to give DD #1 when she leaves home. A book about my pregnancy, her birth....awww......darnit! Tears again.

Now, off to grab more kleenex.
 
LOL, awe neenee...i have been crying all weekend! even reading this darn thread makes me tear up... what is wrong with me??:blink:
 
This is the first issue of Simply Sweet that I have bought...and boy am I glad I did. It's absolutely beautiful! All the layouts are so beautiful. Great ideas as well. I had a lot of laughs and tears this weekend.
The one that hit closest to home and really touched me was Traci Reed's Learning to Fly layout. It totally inspired me...so when I finally start my Book of Me, I will definitely be including my similar story in there.
 
as if the baby fever wasn't bad enough ... I went and read this article. I can relate to SO many of the pages, they brought tears to my eyes as well. I have definitely been inspired to make some pages and some hybrid projects
 
i am in LOVE with this issue.. this is the first one i've downloaded but now i wanna know which other one is as great as this one so i can download that too!
so much inspiration! i love the kit.. i love the quickpages!!! :) so worth the 7 dollars
 
Honestly BOTH the others are fabulous! The team puts such a huge amount of effort into simply sweet that each one is a work of art!
 
I know it's a lot of work to turn out a high quality e-mag... and Simply Sweet is my favorite to the point and thank you so much for doing it!! It's very inspiring and I have to admit, that I return to each of the mags regularly through out the months, where others (don't mean any disrespect), I flip through to never look at again... seriously thinking of stopping those.
