Silly convo with my dd

I had this funny conversation with Natalie my daughter that is 4 in a couple weeks.

Not sure where it came from but we were talking about how Chloe (younger dd) wasn't here when Natalie was little. Natalie had a little bit of a hard time understanding that but knew babies grow in tummies. "Was Chloe in your tummy when I was?" No I explained that she just wasn't here yet and that a while back Natalie wasn't here either that mommy and daddy made her and then she was here. "No, God made me and put me in your tummy, and then I came out your mouth." she said. I had to hold back giggles as I said no you came out down here (motioning to the area) With eyes wide open she said "Why THERE??" Thats just where it happens girlie. lol
 
Hehehe I've decided to go with truth about such things when at all possible. She hasn't said anything else about it so I hope I didn't traumatize her too much.... lol
 
LOL! That is too funny! My nephew did something similar to that with my sister! She was prego with him in Florida and that was where he was born, but then they moved to Guam shortly after his birth. After their stay in Guam they moved back to Florida, and my sister had told my nephew several times that they were there when he was in her tummy. So one day after they were back in Florida she was pointing out a place they used to go to etc to my nephew and he says "Is that where you ate me?" And it was all she could do to keep from cracking up. I guess in his mind being in her tummy it was only logical to think that she must have ate him.
 
LOL! Thats adorable, Lily used to watch a baby story with me when she was 2 or so and actually remebers it quite well. So when we went into labor she said mom, go to the hospital so they can get him out of your butt LOL I was like umm okay.

I had a similar convo with my 3 year old before her brother was born last fall. She seemed utterly mortified about how that was all going to happen. LOL
 
That's cute! She must be wondering why there when she could come out of your mouth. Just a matter of time when Mckenna starts asking.
 
LOL, I think she'll be grateful when she has kids of her own because I think they'll hurt a whole lot more if they came out your mouth!!!!!
