Signature size?

What size canvas do you all use for your signatures? I'm making a new one and want to get it right....

I normally do mine at 4x6 inches, then save for web as a png (depends on how your program does this but in PSE I change the size to 400pixel width). Then I reopen the web file and "sharpen the image" so all my writing is readable. Does that make sense? If not, just message me on facebook and I will walk you through it.

My final canvas size is usually about 400-600 pixels wide, and 300-400 pixels high.
