Signature Issues at DST

Someone help!!!! Darcy??? Where are you???

I have the same image in my signature at DST...I just got a friendly reminder saying it was too big...it is 300x225....what size can it be....I do NOT have any of the other text lines in my signature there...just the image????????? I am so confused b/c it talks about blinkie sizes...I don't have any blinkies. So what size does this image have to be!!!!

any image can be only 150x50 there. you can redo yours so that your name is 150x50 and then list your ct's in text underneath it. You can always clarify it with the moderator who contacted you.

Thanks Darcy...I had just re-edited my original post to send out an SOS to you!!!! LOL

So...I can redo just my name....to be 150 x 50
Then make another one with the CTs listed and size that to 150 x 50

Sorry...I sent a PM right back but haven't heard anything back....so I just removed my signature until I get it fixed!!

I think it's silly...you can have 12 150x50 blinkies, yet you can't have one solitary image that takes up that same amount of space?

Ahhhh, that's why I was sooooo confused...I was on a pregnancy board for a long time and you could add them all up for a bigger siggy or have the smaller tickers......

I have like five CT blinkie things on my signature at DST and I know they take up more room then your sig here. That doesnt make alot of sense

me too! hehehe! now all I have over there is my name (with a link to my shop in it!)

I don't think they have it that way for space- they have it that way because some images take a longer time to load, and I think some people (on dial-up) were complaining about how long the site takes.

Well, I ended up resizing my name....then just adding text below it...I sent another PM to the mod to see if it is ok now...we'll see... I feel like such a bad girl!!!

DST is annoying about siggies. Seriously, they would rather you have a ton of blinkies than have a nice clean siggy like yours.

Yeah, I had a little Remembrance Day picture thing last year, and got my hand slapped. It wasn't blinking. It was like 250x200 or something. But I could put 12 blinkies in my siggie instead! I do not understand.

If you read that link, it explains about the size. It does mention dial-up but based on the comment about the discussion starting in the designer forum, it's much more about advertising than anything else. You can't advertise much on a 150x50 blinkie but if they allowed larger images, it would be competing with the advertising they sell on the site. They were just trying to make the rules fair for their advertisers (and to give designers reason to advertise ).

I don't care either way since I had to turn off siggies for both here and DST because they made browsing on my phone a royal pain. So big image or not, it's all the same in my book.
