Siggies??

I am beyond tired of my current one so I was thinking how long does it take until you say ughh I really need to redo my siggy? I have probably a dozen on my hard drive that I have made since I started doing them. And Id say that is over the last two years maybe three. Do you change them with the season? Or just at whim? Mine was kinda a Christmas one but not in really traditional christmas-sy colors I guess. I am thinking of doing either valentine's or St. Patricks right now. Maybe a surf style one. IDK yet...so how about you? When do you change yours?

Just whenever I feel like it and get around to it. Im in need of a new one right now but am just too lazy to do it. :) I dont do it for the season ususally because it takes too long for me to figure out what kit to use and how to arrange everything. So I just pick a kit that I love and leave it up until inspiration strikes.

I change mine about twice a year, or more often if I need to add/take away teams. I don't do seasonal as I'm not good about changing them often enough.

I try to do seasonal but sometimes I just get lazy. But I too am due for a new one. Something bright and springy.

i just made my first one :-) took me a while to find out what works but i am happy now. i think i will go with it like with my pages. when i have an idea or a kit that just feels like me, then i will make a new one.

Hmmmm... When I feel like it. I've had 6 of them in the 3 years I've been here, so I guess that means twice a year. But it doesn't depend on the season, just on a whim. :-)

I don't even have a siggie, but I've been wanting to make one for MONTHS. Just never sit down to do it...so you're a step ahead of me anyway. ;)

Mine has been the same since I joined last year, ha! I've been debating redoing it though. I'd like to make one with the links in it - on my todo list ;)

I just do a new one when I feel up to it...that's why I don't do seasonal siggies because I know that I'd end up having the same Christmas one for months after it's passed. LOL

I've had this one for a while now - over a year at least. I love it though, and don't feel like changing it out yet.

I used to have a siggy but took it down because I wanted to make it clickable for my blog & pinterest but never got around it it. I think that was more than a year ago and I'd had it for more than a year at that point. I was just thinking last night that I ought to make one. Maybe this weekend

I changed mine for New Year's but now I'm ready to do something for Mardi Gras, Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day... All are coming up so soon! I don't think I have any St. Patrick Day kits from SSD designers though. Hmm...

When I was designing, I made a siggy that I loved and never changed it. I still love that one, but it has my design name and has clickable places for my store, etc. which isn't appropriate for forum use here. I need to do something similar though.

At first I tried to change mine every month and that lasted about a month. Then I tried to change for the seasons and holidays and that didn't work for me, so I changed mine to something simple, yet colorful and I think I will be keeping it for a bit. That will work for me. LOL

I try to do it seasonally but as evidenced by the Christmas one i'm currently sporting.. that doesn't always work. LOL

I'm way too lazy about sigs to even attempt to do them seasonally. I've had this one for a year, maybe a year and a half. I started wanting a new one early in the fall, but here I am still with the old one. They're a lot of pressure, LOL! When I make a page, I finish, post/print, and move on to a new one. When I make a new siggy, I know I'll be staring at it daily for quite a while.

I would LOVE a new one, especially since I'm down another team, but yeah, it's hard for me to get inspired to create it. Didn't someone make siggie templates once? I think I'd buy that.

ETA: I think I'm good now, thanks to the kindness of one of my favorite sweet shoppe sweeties. : )
Heck, I'm more than good. I'm rockin'.

Speaking of siggies.... I can't find any info on what the dimensions need to be - and it's been so long since I made mine, I've forgotten. Can someone point me in the right direction? And also - after making the image, do I have to upload it to the gallery and then paste it in the siggie box as if I were entering a LO in the monthly portfolio challenge? - If that makes any sense?

I resize mine to be no larger then about 400 pixels I think on the largest side and use photobucket to upload it to. If you right click on a siggy (providing you are not on a Mac) and click on properties it will give you the dimensions.

I generally just shoot for no more than 2 blinkie things tall.

I wanna guess who that sweetie is... is it Jacinda? It looks like her handiwork!

I just changed mine... but it's still not 100% the way I want it. I think I will have to change it again sometime soon.

I went very simple this time. Before I actually just took a cluster off a layout and modified it with my name/CTs. I gave up on making it click-able with my blog, FB, etc. since no one ever clicked on anything. Ha! ;)
