Okay, I have waited until the LAST minute (of course) to make my photo book. 8x8.

My pages are all psd files at 12x12 300 dpi.

What size and how do I resize them for the book?

Thanks for the help! I have Wendyzine's "Actions" but what I seem to have are templates and not an action that I can run on my page.
 
Make sure you upload the high resolution files (i do mine 300dpi some people do 200), not the ones saved for the web. If you get stuck while you're working on it just come ask. I"ve ordered a few from there and absolutely LOVE shutterfly!
 
So I can flatten my psd pages and upload them as 12x12 for an 8x8 book? Just want to make sure.

I guess if it works for Nesser it should work for you too! I always flatten mine to JPEG and resize them to 7.9. I do that just in case the journaling or date or something goes to the very edge of the page. I'd rather have a really fine white line on the edge than miss something. But shutterfly is good, so you should be alright there.
 
Shutterfly has photoshop templates you can download and do your layouts on. I do mine all on the 12x12 template(which I think is 11.85x11.85). I upload them and make the 12x12 book. Then there's a button on the shutterfly website that asks you if you want to make an 8x8 copy of it. So that might be a good idea to do it that way. I haven't tried it yet, but I would think it would work.
 
I always upload my 12x12's too and just got an 8x8 book and it is fabulous...just make sure you PREVIEW all your pages and there is nothing being cut off....I had a few that were cutoff a little bit, but not too worried...
 
Yeah, I just save at 300 dpi, jpgs. I always save at 12.

Sometimes my edges are a little cut off, but not enough to notice.

I've printed 14 books with them.
 
LOL... I had the pages done Kellie. I just had to make the cover today.


And now I'm second guessing myself. I think i screwed up. I chose a photo book rather than "printing my digital scrapbook". I don't know if vivid pics and the crop thing were turned off. And now it's too late to cancel. :( I hope it's okay when I get it! The preview looked good. Guess I'll wait and see.
 
I just placed an order the other day ... think both ways take you to the photo books ... I went into each layout and turned off the Vivid Pics ... hopefully it will be awesome. :)
