the front page of your themed albums such as yoru Dec Daily, P365, vacation, anything....I am looking for some ideas for the 1st page of a couple of my albums.....TIA :) Since I normally do a 2 page spread I want my 1st page to be sort of a cover page of some sort...
 
so do you want to see first pages or front covers? When I print a book I usually leave the front page blank. Ive only done one cover page.

for my daughters wedding album. That is the cover page I plan on using.
 
For our vacation album from last year, I have been doing 2 page spreads for all of it. The first page though I thought I would just do a layout of my favorite photo from the trip.
 
The front/cover page hasn't be finished either, lol! BUT, I did start arranging my Shutterfly book so that the pages fall correctly and to keep me inspired to finish it. It's looking great!
 
for my WITL 2011 I just did an 8x8 picture that represented that week

I like to include favorite photos on the cover and the first page. This is the cover and front page of my Disney 2009 album. On the front page, I gave a summary of the trip along with my favorite photo of us in front of the castle. The cover of the photo book was a similar photo but I thought a picture of the castle at Disney pretty much set the mood for a Disney album!

I typically just do the black leather-ish covers from shutterfly for my yearly albums, because I like that they all match on a shelf, but that is starting to annoy me so I may start changing that in 2012. In a few years, when I have dozens, I think the matchy thing will make it too hard to find a certain year.

I'm working on a vacation album now, and while I haven't made the first page of the album yet, I plan on making it a summary of our trip, sort of an itinerary. We were in Cali and did different things each day (legoland, Disneyland, cousin's wedding, etc). I was thinking of somehow adapting one of Cindy's list templates for it.
Another idea (that I just thought of while typing this!) is a list/summary of trip highlights.
 
love the idea of a summary or yoru favorite picture on the 1st page :) I also LOVE the front and back covers of you AWITL Marla!!!!

and I was working on the 1st page for my Dec daily 2011 and ended up making this my last page of my 2011 P365 :D (this was the page I was working on when I asked for ideas and it toally didn't end up being in DD album!!!)


so as you can see I am pretty good at making a cover, not so much the 1st or last page :D
