should I d/l Yahoo Messenger?

I have to admit I am afraid to d/l this. I have visions of my laptop being taken over by Yahoo stuff.

i've just been using the web version (you know, the whole 2 times I've used it).

is using the downloaded one better?
 
Well you could download trillian which lets you add multiple types of accounts. I think there is an option when you download yahoo to NOT let it put all that stuff on your system though (could be wrong.. )

I'm pretty sure I did that and still ended up with a yahoo mail thing on my desktop, lol.

But it's easy enough to delete and remove the hardware.
I'm having trouble with Trillian on my new lappy, so I just d/l'd yahoo and said forget it, lol.
 
When you install you can tell it not to install the toolbar, etc. If you do install it, add me! Jennilyn76 :)
 
I just downloaded it and chose "custom installation" and didn't get that.

I finally remembered my ID on Yahoo is newfiemountiewife ROFL

I no longer have anything else on my laptop, so this is all I'll be using from now on.

Oh wait..there was this one time I got pregnant from Yahoo! messenger. Is that bad for you or were you just trying to keep away from the adware and junk? :thumbup:
 
I use yahoo messenger and I haven't had any problems with it

its easy to use and you can send pictures to friends quick. I'm not sure if the internet version does that or not.

its always worth giving it a shot! :thumbup:
 
I've only been using it for a few days, but I think this is gonna be my alternative to Hello. I'm not downloading anything else. LOL!
