Alright, so...severe thunderstorm warnings here...went outside and looked because it says we may see funnel clouds and SOME storms will cause tornadoes...yeah, the clouds are swirling DIRECTLY above our house. Kids are in bed, we don't have a basement...yikes.

I'm trying to decide whether to go throw my photos and EHD's into the van, so if something comes up, I'm outta here, and my precious things (other than my family, of course) are safe...

Oh lord..that's one of the scariest things in the world to me. Whatever you do..don't get in the car and drive around! Go to the inner-most place in your house that has 4 walls and sit on pillows and blankets if you have to!

man, the weather going through Alberta is crazy these past few weeks!! Stay safe Bree!! Grab the kiddos and keep them with you if you have to!

hmm, it wouldn't hurt to get your valuables (pics and ehd and stuff) into a safe spot, but concentrate on you and the kids first.

keep us updated as you can, Bree, we'll be thinking about you.

Alright...headed back outside and the swirly clouds have moved past us, looks like it'll be just a straight thunderstorm, if we get anything (it's moving pretty quickly and we can see the edge of it now).

Oh, I hope you stay safe!

Tornadoes scare the living daylights out of me! The only thing scarier to me is a spider!:p

Definitely go the lowest, most central part of your home. Stay away from all glass. Have spare batteries, water, and flashlights with you, as well as pillows or a matress to cover your body. A bathroom or closet is typically a good place. At our house in Oklahoma, we would always use my mom's closet, and at our house in Waco, we would use my mom's bathroom. Ross and I now live in a trailer. We would be screwed if we faced a tornado.

first snakes..now tornadoes...y'all sweet shoppe girls are having a NIGHT of it...sorry about the violent weather...yeah, those funnels just drop out without any warning around here...one of them blew over the size of our WHOLE block..my neighbor said if it would have landed..we would have ended up in OZ...it was huge...i was in the hall with my kids...they had ashli sized nail makrs in their legs after it was all over with...

those twisters are total NIGHTMARES...none here lately though..just floods..and those totally SUCK too! ugh.......

glad you are safe...and howled *of course* at your title..seriously OUT LOUD..my DH probably wonders NOw WHAT is she doing?!

Thanks, girls. Tornadoes scare the crap outta me too. We're in a trailer, I have NO closets and I have no idea where we'd go if a tornado actually came, lol. I guess DH and I freaked out the neighbor's son, lol...we were outside talking to them and started freaking when we saw the clouds swirling above us...DH was like "wake up the kids, I'm getting the keys" and was ready to take off, and I guess the poor boy (he's 14) was terrified and wandered around after his mom for a while, lol.

Anyhow, the storm is STILL going on, but it's just dark clouds, thunder and lightning. No hail, no tornadoes...so far, so good. I thought we could see the edge of it, well, we could...but another one came up right behind it and closed in that little bit of blue sky that I saw, lol. Oh well...I don't mind thunderstorms or lightning, lol...just so long as the lightning doesn't take out my wireless internet tower again! ;)

There is nothing that terrifies me more than a tornado. We lived in a trailer during the early years of our marriage. We were within running distance of my mom's house and a basement, but i was alone with my dogs pretty much all the time and i'd just get terrified when the warnings came out. I so feel for you; i know that fear of living in that tin can and having no where to go.
I'm so glad you're safe.

Oh Man Bree stay safe...I don't know how many times last year when we were living in Viking, that we took the family and cats downs to the basement and I am TERRIFIED of tornadoes.......guess what happened this year in Viking....yep, sOoooo glad we weren't there, moved in the nick of time, LOL....now only if there were no scary storms here...LOL!

Bree, that is so scary. I'm glad it blew over, and you don't get anything else! That scares the crap out of me, we don't get them here only VERY rarely. Stay safe!
