Shadowing acrylic...

whew! thanks, Paula! good to know.

that is one of the things I love about PS . . . so easy to load actions and styles and stuff!

DUFUS here again.......can I do the same for PSE? I thought I loaded some actions in there but I still cannot see them. I need more RAM, this much I know, but the bigger question is can I di this with PSE too and how EXACTALLY do I do it?????

What I did for my styles is there are some I like from a set and some I don't so I opened up all the sets that have the styles I like and then deleted all the ones I never use from the sets. Then I resaved all the ones I like the most as Favorite-dropshadow, Favorite-bevel, etc. That way I don't have to keep a bunch of stuff I never use on there!! Same with action sets, for example I divided up all my AC actions into groups (woods, paper tears, glass/plastic, etc) and then created new set with them all labelled. That way if I am going to want a glass action I don't have to load them all individually and I don't have to keep them on there if I'm not using them anymore!!

Oh, wow, thanks Paula for the tip!! I never knew that. My ps is soooo slooooow opening up. I'm definately gonna be cleaning that out today!!

i just skimmed through the previous posts so forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question . . .

I have folder on my desktop for my PS actions. And I loaded them by just dragging them onto my PS workspace. So now they show up in my actions pallette. Does this mean they are actually in PS now and sucking up RAM? I didn't know if I was actually installing them into PS or just making a shortcut, kwim?

thanks

Totally gonna do this now! I didn't know it was so easy to load stuff in PS like that!

I'm not sure how it works in PSE. I can look into it since I have the program but from what I can see from the surface is that they are all there and you just select from the list. I can't see a load option just the drop down option which list them all.

Maybe someone else out there is more familiar with PSE and could help but from my brief time playing in there it looks like you have no choice but to load the files into the program folders in order for you to access them.

This is great for those things you use often but if you put everything on your desktop you will eventually run out of room for all the files :D

Hahaha, also true Paula! Luckily I only have a few tried and true things I can put in 1 folder to do it with, lol.
