Happy Tuesday Sweet Shoppers! I'm super excited to be kicking off our month of Scrap with the SugarBabes challenges with a personal fave of mine, a "Pop Rocks" challenge!
This classic standalone challenge took inspiration from pop culture to create one of a kind pages that had a nod to all of the characters, books, TV, movies, music and more that we consume and enjoy every single day!
To this day we see tons of products and challenges inspired by pop culture even if we don't use the Pop Rocks / Pop Weekly title. I absolutely adore pop culture, so while I'm not a Babe, it seemed fitting for me to host this one and kick off this month's challenge adventure. Let's get into it...
For today's challenge, choose one of your favorite characters from the past and create a page that's inspired by those motifs. Keep in mind that I'm not asking you to scrap a page about that character(s), but rather a page that's inspired by the color palettes, icons, catch phrases, and fun of those characters and shows we have nostalgia for.
Here are some of my favorite and most loved characters from the past, and whether you scrap a page about having a "yabba dabba doo" good time, your Sanrio stationary collection, a "Rainbow Brite" color palette or the icons and emotions that show you care-a-lot, I hope you'll embrace this challenge and create a little pop culture magic with the Babes and I today!
Check out the incredible pages our Babes created for today's challenge inspired by Strawberry Shortcake, Mrs. Beasley, Hello Kitty and Clueless...
Remember, we're taking things a little slower this month to catch our breath after our Summer Scrap-A-Thon! There are NO daily deadlines for this month's challenges. Simply scrap along and update your post in this month's tracker thread to claim your Sweet Rewards and enter to win this month's $50 gift certificate giveaway!
Thanks for playing along with me today. Be sure to pop in on Friday to see our next SWTSB challenge hosted by SugarBabe Kim. It's another favorite of mine, so don't miss it!
