OK, we currently have a dishwasher that needs replacing. The thing is I've never loved any of our kitchen appliances so I'm trying to decide if I should just replace the dishwasher or get a full set of appliances.
Our kitchen has medium dark brown cabinets with a white/off white speckled counter. Right now we have a crummy white dishwasher that is falling apart. The fridge is an off white side by side that has a non-working water/ice dispenser in the freezer door (not sure if that is because it is broken or if there isn't water hook up behind it). I hate the narrow freezer on a side by side, and I anticipate wanting a second fridge in the garage or basement soon as my kids get older and this one could be that when we replace it. Our stove is an electric stove and black in color (yes, none of them match right now
). I thought I'd want to move to gas, but I've gotten use to cooking on electric and I LOVE how easy it is to clean, so I'm thinking about sticking with electric especially since we don't have a gas hook up option there right now.
So I'm looking at new appliances. I know that stainless steel is the "cool" stuff now, but how is it practically. What are the pros and cons? And if I went with getting all new appliances what would you recommend? Help me out - I'm clueless and when I try to research online I just get overwhelmed. :cursing:
