Screen shots - Would this work?

So, I've spent the last several days getting hundreds of my layouts ready to print. We are talking years worth. In doing so, I realized there are a handful of LOs for which the original PS file is missing; all I have is the save for web version. Would it be possible to take a screen shot of this version and print from that? I'm on a Mac but also have access to a PC. I feel like this is probably a long shot, but I reallllly don't want to have to recreate those pages if I can avoid it.

You could try it and then pull the screen shot up in PS to see what kind of resolution you get. I'm not sure what size a normal screen shot is.

I don't think you should. It'll be a small jpeg and not of good quality. I tried opening a screenshot of my iMac on photoshop, it was way smaller than I thought the size would be.
You can always try though...

Unless your screen is a much higher resolution than mine, I think you're out of luck. Sorry! My screen shots are 1366x768, so the best I'd be able to screen shot a layout would be 768x768. Given that the recommendation for crisp printing is to use files that are 200-300 pixels per inch...

If you have better resolution than I do and don't mind being out a few dollars, you could try printing small, like 6x6, and see what happens. Good luck!

You could make it large on your screen then take a photo of it maybe? That would be higher resolution than just a screen shot.
